    Head of Finance

    Summary

    We are looking for a Head of Finance to supervise all financial tasks of our company and ensure we use capital and resources beneficially.

    Responsibilities

    Job Objective

    Responsible for the financial management of the organization; this included financial reports, monitoring accounts, and preparing financial forecasts. Also recommends ways to improve profitability and analyze markets for business opportunities, such as expansion.

    Facilitate the execution of dynamic financial responsibilities in line with the company’s vision.

    Responsibility​es

    Effective Management

    • Managing the financial reporting of the organization; this includes monthly financial reporting, budgeting and forecasting, long term financial plans and all statutory financial reporting.
    • Providing sound financial support and insights to enable management to make critical business decisions.
    • Maximizes return on financial assets by reviewing existing or establishing financial policies, procedures, controls, and reporting systems.
    • Presentation of financial results and insights to the Board.
    • Play a key role in the formulation of the business's strategy.
    • Managing and overseeing the taxation affairs of the organization and liaising with external auditors for specialist advice.
    • Managing the External Auditor relationship and ensuring the organization is compliant with accounting standards.
    • Managing and overseeing the company's banking and borrowing arrangements for business expansion.
    • Managing and overseeing the company’s financial systems
    • Periodic investment appraisal and analysis and presentation of same to top management.
    • Overseeing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Tax, Treasury, Payroll, Financial and Management Accounting functions.
    • Risk Management to ensure the business has a solid risk framework in place
    • Overseeing commercial decision making from tender analysis, margin analysis, pricing analysis etc.
    • Advising and implementing best practice methods to increase revenue and reduce costs.
    • Guides financial decisions by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing policies and procedures.
    • Maximizes return and limits risk on cash by minimizing bank balances and making investments.
    • Achieves budget objectives by scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions.
    • Complies with federal, state, and local legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, anticipating future legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, filing financial reports, and advising management on needed actions.
    • Completes operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees in the department; following up on work results.
    • Cash flow management: Prepare and maintain cash flow forecast and projections to effectively manage cash balances.
    • Continually seeking to improve productivity and efficiency through the development of processes and controls

    Financial Dimensions

    • Responsible for the timely preparation and interpretation of all financial information, including financial statements, system ledgers, and other reports as required
    • Plans, supervises, and assists the team in performing daily, weekly, and monthly accounting processes to properly record, classify and control financial transactions
    • Protects operations by keeping financial information and plans confidential.
    • Preparation and review of period end financial statements.
    • Direct the transactional processing of financial processes.

    Relationship Management

    • Maintains financial staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; planning, monitoring, and appraising job results.
    • Working closely with management or executive teams to share reports and analysis findings.

    Status Reporting

    • Provides status of financial condition by collecting, interpreting, and reporting financial data.
    • Prepares special reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information and trends.
    • Perform analytical reviews of the monthly, Quarterly and yearly operating results to ensure the reasonability and accuracy of reports.

    Monitoring

    • Monitors and confirms financial condition by conducting audits and providing information to external auditors.
    • Protects assets by establishing, monitoring, and enforcing internal controls.
    • Monitor, track, and report and track capital expenditures/projects spend

    HSE Responsibilities

    • Observes proper operating procedures, noting unsafe practices.
    • Ensures that all relevant QHSE policies are communicated to and understood by department members.
    • Work in safe and conscientious manner to ensure personal safety and safety of colleagues.

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. Degree or HND in Accounting
    • Membership of any of ICAN, ACCA, ACMA
    • M.Sc. Finance / MBA

    Minimum 10 years post qualification experience

    Operations Manager

    Summary

    • Efficiently plan, coordinate and oversee all aspects of daily operations to sync the expected input with output
    • Responsibilities
    • Plan, supervise and coordinate all catering operations activities of the company in line with company Polices, Procedures and Processes.
    • Prepares monthly and annual operational material budget for management consideration.
    • Manage the Catering Operation with available resources within budget and to achieve sales, cost of sales and gross profit targets.
    • Ensures that all company’s assets are safeguarded.
    • Coordinating the pursuit of mature retention and outstanding payment on contracts.
    • Establish parameters for business plan and update as necessary.
    • Work closely with business development manager in bid preparation.
    • Preparation and timely submission of accurate monthly and quarterly production reports to reflect business performance.
    • Preparation of annual catering budget for management review and approval
    • Timely submission of relevant camp operations document (signed recaps and meal sheets) for prompt invoicing to client.
    • Liaison with clients.
    • Manage and control service offers to deliver agreed service specification and performance to client.
    • Liaison with company Finance, Procurement and QHSE departments for effective coordination of catering activities.
    • Ensures sound and effective relationships with past, current and prospective clients for business growth.
    • Ensures that regular reports on financials and production activities of the company are produced and updated.
    • Regular preparation and reporting of operational activities at the various locations. This includes menu compliance, client’s feedback on service performance and general staff performance on their tasks.
    • Analysis of periodic report of project operations.
    • Monitors preparation of weekly menu by Operations Supervisors/Camp Bosses.
    • Monitors full compliance to menu to clients at the various locations

    Requirements

    • B.Sc. Degree or HND in Food Science & Technology, Hotel & Catering Management.
    • ​ Minimum 10 years post qualification experience. ​
    • Professional Certification in Food Safety and Hospitality Management.
    • Prior experience in catering and hospitality industry is a must.
    • Proficient in the use of MS Office

    QHSE Manager - Catering & Hospitality

    Summary

    • To identify and implement Nigeria regulatory health, safety and environmental requirements and other international HSE standards in accordance with company objectives
    • Responsibilities
    • Develop, implement and improve QHSE management systems, processes and procedures to support business operations.
    • Recipe formulation and standardization.
    • Ensure Compliance with all Health and Safety policies and procedures in all company locations.
    • Manage incidents and non-conformities by effective investigation and corrective action planning.
    • Conducting internal investigations and audits related to food safety.
    • Manages the QHSE department and instils QHSE culture within the company by implementing agreed Company QHSE policies.
    • Carry out regular audit of QHSE operations to ensure that standards are being set and maintained.
    • Defines, develops and facilitates implementation of required QHSE plans (e.g. environmental and socio-economic impact assessments, safety management plans, health management plans, fire response, crisis management, etc).
    • Works with contractors to promote QHSE performance in accordance with HCUE expectations.
    • Maintains adequate level of QHSE related signage within the Company premises/work areas.
    • Supervise/coordinate activities of the QHSE officer (s).
    • Ensuring HSE training is identified, delivered, and maintained in line with legislation and employee work activities.
    • Identifies and institutes QHSE and First Aid training courses as required.
    • Working with food vendors, Purchasing and procurement department to ensure the quality of products are to the standards required.
    • Reviews accident and incident reports, analyses data, provides feedback on quality of investigation and identifies trends.
    • Drive monitoring and verification programs for external audits. Provide reports to Management.
    • Monitoring and ensuring that food production, and customer services are complying with statutory and company QHSE standards, policies and procedures to avoid food contamination and related risks.
    • Perform daily walk throughs in facilities and / or in clients’ premises to monitor and promote a safe workplace

    Requirements

    • HND/B.Sc. in Engineering, Food Science Tech or Environmental Sciences
    • At least 5 years working with international QHSE standards, codes and practices including Nigerian QHSE experience
    • Membership of relevant QHSE professional bodies
    • Minimum of 3 years industrial catering  experience.
    • HACCP Level 3 qualification or other food handling / safety qualifications.
    • Highest standard of Safety, Health, Environment aptitude and cultivates the same in others.
