    New Business Development Manager

    • The Worldpanel division of Kantar is searching for a New Business Development Manager. Seen as one of the important roles to grow the business, we are looking for an energetic team player with a real sense of drive & networking to take on this role.
    • The person in this role will be the single point contact accountable for the development of new business revenue target to support our ambitious growth plans in Nigeria.

    Key Outcomes 

    • Deliver growth to the business by seeking out new opportunities to sell Kantar Worldpanel through the development of new and mutually beneficial client relationships 
    • Develop a sound understanding of the Kantar Worldpanel service and commercial model 
    • Proactively seek out opportunities to develop and provide valuable proposals  
    • Seek out the right forum to raise Kantar Worldpanel’s profile 
    • Own a personal revenue target and exhibits commercially minded behavior in the delivery of the annual account plan and demonstrates an understanding of the wider department targets 
    • Seek out new opportunities to sell Kantar Worldpanel and confidently articulates the Worldpanel service in the context of the client’s needs 
    • Operate with an understanding of the benefits of contractual relationships with the client and seeks opportunities to upgrade the contract value 
    • Take responsibility for own and colleagues revenue pipeline outlining short- and long-term opportunities.

    Required Skills and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree 
    • 3 - 5 years Business Development Experience
    • Proven ability to create and expand network of contacts within your client’s business 
    • Track record of significant contribution towards achieving revenue budgets as well as an understanding of how we deliver our margins 
    • A track record of producing and delivering detailed account plans 
    • Market, client, range of offer and competitor knowledge 
    • Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG)/FMCG knowledge and experience 
    • Business gravitas and presentation skills 
    • Process Improvement experience is a plus.

    Role Overview

    • Proficient IT skills in Microsoft Office
    • Well organized, with ability to work to tight deadlines

    Role Description

    • You will support in developing and achieving the business growth plan through successful management and delivery of studies, supporting team members and in turn build your own expertise.  

    Key Outcomes:

    • You will be responsible for day-to-day project and client management as part of qualitative research in Nigeria and further afield. This will involve project planning, quality delivery and profitability management.
    • Acts as key contact for clients on a project-by-project basis, ensuring quality delivery whilst managing client expectations
    • Manage all set-up and project management duties on mid to large level projects
    • Manage development of appropriate methodological approach, and research tool development, including discussion guides and analytic templates
    • Manages projects, liaising with the Field / Project management Team and managing set up, fieldwork, data analysis and basic reporting
    • Drafts presentations/reports/deliverables which address the key objectives and tell a story with clarity and insight
    • Takes a significant role in client presentations.
    • Responsible for post-project financial reviews, identifying learnings to manager

    Role Requirements

    • At least an HND / B.Sc or equivalent in any of the Social Sciences / Humanities.
    • Excellent knowledge of MS packages usage.
    • Experienced in application of technology in qualitative.
    • Strong persuasion skills.

    • Strong marketing (research) knowledge - at least 2 years’ experience.
