    Mid-level Researcher II (Practitioner)

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Qualified practising lawyer of at least 5 years post-call experience.
    • Strong research, analytical, and drafting skills.
    • Experience in legislative, regulatory, policy, or institutional reform work.
    • Ability to deliver high-quality outputs on a part-time, deadline-driven basis.
    • Familiarity with policy-facing or advisory environments is an advantage.
    • The Practitioner Researcher will collaborate with the Centre's research team on assigned outputs.

    Role Summary

    • The Practitioner Researcher will provide applied legal insight and practical analysis to support the Centre's legislative advisory work, policy engagement, and reform-oriented research outputs.

    Key Responsibilides

    • Conduct applied legal, regulatory, and policy research in support of the Centre's programmes.
    • Draft legislative memos, advisory notes, policy briefs, and practical research outputs.
    • Support stakeholder engagements, consultations, and reform initiatives with legal and analytical input.
    • Translate complex legal and institutional issues into clear, practical policy recommendations.
    • Collaborate with academic researchers and external experts to balance theory, evidence, and practice.
    • Contribute to internal research review and validation processes.

    Mid-Level Researcher (Academic)

    Role Summary

    • The Academic Researcher will support the Centre's research outputs through doctrinal, comparative, and policy-oriented research, contributing to the Centre's priority research areas.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Conduct legislative, regulatory, and policy research aligned with the Centre's research mandate and priorities.
    • Contribute to the drafting of policy papers, research reports, academic reviews, economic and legislative analysis.
    • Provide methodological and analytical support to research design, data interpretation, and comparative frameworks.
    • Support internal quality assurance processes on research output
    • Collaborate with other researchers and external experts engaged by the Centre on joint research outputs.
    • Participate in internal research review sessions and knowledge-sharing activities as required.

    Required Qualifications and Experience

    • Academic background in economics or business related discipline
    • Strong understanding of business environment, institutional processes, and policy analysis.
    • Demonstrated research and writing experience, including policy-relevant outputs.
    • Prior involvement in governance, legislative, or public policy research is an advantage.
    • Ability to deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines in a policy-oriented environment.
    • The Academic Researcher will work collaboratively with the Centre's research team on assigned projects.

    Senior Fellow (Law)

    Key Responsibilities

    • Contribute to the design and delivery of high-quality legal and policy research aligned with the Centre's research priorities.
    • Lead or co-lead the development of selected policy papers, research reports, briefs, and commentary for publication by the Centre.
    • Provide technical and scholarly input into ongoing research projects undertaken by the Centre.
    • Support internal peer review processes to ensure analytical rigour, coherence, and academic quality of research outputs.
    • Offer mentorship and academic guidance to mid-level researchers engaged in specific research assignments.
    • Participate, as required, in research-related convenings, seminars, and knowledge-sharing activities organised by the Centre.
    • Contribute to strengthening the Centre's visibility and credibility within academic and policy communities.

    Reporting & Working Relationships

    • The Research Fellow will work closely with the Centre's research team in delivering agreed research outputs.
    • Engagement will be project-based and aligned with timelines and priorities determined by the Centre.

    Qualifications & Experience

    • Professor of Law/Associate Professor of Law/Doctor of Laws or equivalent from a recognised university.
    • Demonstrated record of academic research, policy-relevant publications, and thought leadership in law and governance-related fields.
    • Experience producing research that informs public policy, legislative reform, or institutional development.
