    Head of Transport (Expatriate)

    Job Introduction

    • We are recruiting a seasoned Head of Transport on behalf of a leading African conglomerate with diversified operations to oversee transport activities within its Oil & Gas division. 

    Responsibilities

    • The Head of Transport – Direct-to-Customer Delivery (DPRP) leads the full operational management of the Direct-to-Customer transport division, overseeing a large-scale fleet of approximately 3,000 CNG trucks.
    • This role ensures the safe and efficient planning, dispatch, maintenance, compliance, and optimization of one of the largest transport fleets in the region. Success in this position requires strong leadership, deep technical knowledge of fleet operations, and the ability to implement systems and strategies that deliver world-class efficiency, safety, and regulatory compliance.

    Transport Operations Management:

    • Direct daily transport operations for a fleet of ~3,000 CNG trucks, ensuring safe routing, dispatch, and customer delivery.
    • Oversee the evacuation and transportation of products to end customers.
    • Supervise truck terminal operations to ensure timely completion of assignments in line with safety and regulatory standards.
    • Maximize asset utilization and minimize operational costs through efficient planning and scheduling.

    Strategic Planning & Leadership:

    • Collaborate with Executive Management to define and implement the strategic direction for the Transport Division.
    • Introduce and manage digital tools, telematics, and performance monitoring systems to optimize fleet operations.
    • Lead workforce planning, driver recruitment, competency development, and succession planning across the division.

    Fleet & Maintenance Oversight:

    • Oversee full maintenance management for the fleet, including workshop operations and preventive maintenance programs.
    • Ensure availability and reliability of DPRP trucks and third-party transporters.
    • Supervise procurement and commissioning of trucks, trailers, CNG systems, and related technical equipment.

    Safety, Compliance & Documentation:

    • Ensure strict adherence to transport safety protocols, hazardous materials standards, and national regulatory requirements.
    • Maintain compliance with driver licensing, vehicle certification, regulatory approvals, and documentation.
    • Enforce Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), industry best practices, and emergency response guidelines specific to CNG transport.

    Cost Control & Performance Optimization:

    • Oversee transport budgets, cost structures, and operational spending.
    • Implement initiatives to improve trip profitability, reduce fuel/energy consumption, and minimize downtime.
    • Monitor KPIs and provide performance insights and reports to management.

    Stakeholder & Regulatory Engagement:

    • Ensure seamless compliance with national transportation laws, energy regulations, and environmental standards.
    • Engage with internal departments to align fleet operations with broader business goals.

    Desired Skills and Experience
    Education & Experience:

    • B.Sc./M.Sc. in Engineering, Logistics, Social Sciences, Humanities, or a related field.
    • Minimum 20 years of relevant experience, including 5+ years at senior/executive management level overseeing large transport operations.
    • Professional certifications in Logistics or Transport (e.g., CILT) are an advantage.

    Construction Project Manager

    Job Introduction

    • we are recruiting a Construction Project Manager to lead the execution of a 25-floor residential high-rise development from inception to completion. The role is based in Lagos, Nigeria.

    Responsibilities
    The ideal candidate must have extensive experience managing complex vertical construction projects, strong leadership abilities, and a solid understanding of cost, schedule, quality, and safety requirements within the Nigerian construction environment.
    Project Planning & Execution:

    • Lead the full project lifecycle, from pre-construction planning through commissioning and handover.
    • Develop project schedules, methodologies, and construction strategies aligned with design and operational requirements.

    Budget & Cost Control:

    • Manage project budgeting, forecasting, and cost reporting.
    • Oversee procurement processes, contract negotiations, and vendor/subcontractor management.

    Timeline & Progress Management:

    • Track progress against milestones using MS Project and other project control tools.
    • Implement corrective actions to maintain schedule adherence.

    Team Leadership & Supervision:

    • Direct and supervise site engineers, subcontractors, and specialist consultants.
    • Promote a high-performance culture through clear communication, coaching, and accountability.

    Quality Assurance & Safety Compliance:

    • Enforce compliance with local building codes, project specifications, and global safety standards (including OSHA).
    • Conduct regular site inspections to ensure the highest standards of workmanship and safety.

    Stakeholder Coordination:

    • Interface with developers, architects, structural and MEP consultants, suppliers, and regulatory authorities.
    • Manage documentation for permits, approvals, and statutory compliance.

    Risk Management:

    • Identify construction risks and develop mitigation strategies.
    • Oversee change management processes and communicate impacts transparently.

    Desired Skills and Experience
    Education:

    • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
    • Master’s degree is an added advantage.

    Professional Experience:

    • Minimum of 10 years’ experience in construction project delivery.
    • At least 5 years managing high-rise projects of 20+ floors (residential or commercial).
    • Proven experience in vertical construction, MEP coordination, structural systems, façade installation, and finishing works.

    Certifications (Preferred):

    • PMP, PRINCE2, CCM, LEED, OSHA, or equivalent construction/project management certifications.

    Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency in MS Project (mandatory).
    • Working knowledge of AutoCAD and Revit (preferred).
    • Strong understanding of FIDIC contracts, procurement procedures, and statutory/regulatory approval frameworks.

    Languages

    • Fluency in English is required.
    • Arabic language skills are an advantage.
