    Head of Logistics Department

    Responsibilities

    • Under the supervision of the Country Director, you will ensure the logistical performance of the Country Office and coordinate its implementation to provide the best support to the programmes.
    • More specifically, your tasks will be to:
    • Contribute to the definition of the Country Office's strategy
    • Coordinate logistics at national level
    • Manage international transport in collaboration with the HQ
    • Ensure the relevance and monitor the implementation of the Country Office's safety policy
    • Promote and ensure collaboration and logistical coordination with the Country Office partners
    • Prevent and manage situations of fraud and corruption
    • Supervise and support the Logistics team in the capital and be the functional manager of the Logistics Manager on bases (total of 71 collaborators)
    • The position will work with the country management team to ensure that organizational logistical policies and procedures are responsive to the context. Provide advisory role on logistics processes and approaches in close coordination with program and support teams, analyze trends, advise, update and implement the Action Against Hunger Logistics and Procurement Plan.

    Requested profile

    • You hold a Master's degree in Logistics and you have over 3 years of experience working on logistics projects, in humanitarian contexts. 
    • Experience with Action Against Hunger is highly desirable.
    • You have demonstrated capabilities in planning, organizing and executing logistics operations with clear understanding of the humanitarian principles, code of conduct and specific sub-sector role linked to NGO field and operations contexts.
    • You have knowledge of various local, regional, country and international policies on logistics and procurement.
    • You are fluent in English (spoken and written).

    Head of WASH Department

    Responsibilities

    • Under the supervision of the Deputy Country Director for Programmes, you will guarantee the quality, relevance and scaling up of WASH programme of the mission, in conformity with ACF and international standards and national policies.
    • More specifically, your tasks will be to:
    • Contribute to defining the country strategy as well as the strategy and positioning of the WASH technical Department
    • Coordinate the identification of needs and the formulation of project proposals
    • Oversee the implementation of, and ensure reporting on, programs/projects
    • Guarantee the quality and accountability of projects
    • Ensure the active participation of ACF in national sectoral coordination and technical forums and develop sectoral partnerships
    • Manage your team : 1 Deputy Head of Departement (Direct Report) and
    • 4 Programme Managers (Indirect Report)
    • Promote capitalization, technical development, research and innovation within the WASH Department

    Requested profile

    • You hold a Master's degree in Water Engineering, Construction Engineering, or Public Health, and you have over 3 years of experience working on water, sanitation, hygiene, and health education projects, in humanitarian contexts. Experience with Action Against Hunger is highly desirable.
    • You have a proven experience and capability in managing large-scale WASH programs and teams, with strong leadership and understanding of humanitarian principles, code of conduct, and specific NGO field and operational roles. 
    • You have already managed the preparation of budgets for programs, and demonstrated a strong proposal writing and donor reporting skills.
    • You are familiar with WASH policies and the Nigerian mission context. You have an experience working in security-volatile contexts.
    • You are fluent in English (spoken and written).
