    Head, Finance and Accounts


    • Creates forecasting models, assessing risk in investments and ensuring all accounting activities comply with regulations. 
    • Supervises all financial tasks of company and ensures use of capital and resources beneficially.
    • Forecasting monthly, quarterly and annual results
    • Conducting risk management
    • Maintains company’s financial health and increase profitability
    • Carries out Expense Management Control
    • Coordinates annual budget and budgetary control
    • Allocates resources and manages cash flows
    • Conducts profit and cost analyses
    • Develops secure procedures to maintain confidential information
    • Ensures all accounting activities and internal audits comply with financial regulations
    • Consults board members about funding options
    • Recommends cost-reducing solutions
    • Preparing Management Accounts
    • Preparation and presentation of Financial reports 
    • Maintenance of Asset Registry Schedule
    • Liaises with External Auditors and other regulatory agencies
    • Develops and coordinates the execution of company’s business strategy 
    • Carries out business performance and variance analysis
    • Manages payroll in conjunction with HR
    • Accounts receivable and payable management

    Qualification and Experience

    • B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Economics or Finance
    • Professional qualification as ACA or ACCA
    • 2-4 years’ relevant experience as Head of Accounts and Finance
    • Experience crafting financial strategies and managing accounting teams
    • Experience in preparing risk assessment analyses and developing working papers to perform tests of accounting records, internal controls, and accounting systems to ensure compliance with regulations, accounting principles, cost accounting standards, and contract/agreement provisions

    Set Skills

    • Excellent written and oral communications skills including ability to make presentations.
    • Financial modelling capability
    • ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software
    • Financial reporting proficiency
    • Expert in IFRS and statutory reporting
    • Analytical and accounting skills
    • Ability to sustain interpersonal and professional relationships with internal colleagues 
    • Strong planning and time management skills
    • Good negotiating and conflict resolution skills
    • Strong understanding of budgets, account reconciliation, taxes etc
    • Ability to problem-solve difficult issues

    Finance and Accounts Officer


    • Posts and processes journal entries to ensure all business transactions are recorded
    • Updates accounts receivable and issue invoices
    • Updates accounts payable and performs reconciliations
    • Daily review of balance sheets, income statements and other financial statement
    • Produces error-free accounting reports and present their results
    • Assists with reviewing of expenses, payroll records etc. as assigned
    • Updates financial data in databases to ensure that information will be accurate and immediately available when needed
    • Petty cash management
    • Ensures good document management
    • Ensure monthly statutory employee deduction and remittance 
    • Inventory management and control
    • Prepare monthly depreciation schedule
    • Preparation of all accounting schedule 
    • Spots errors and suggest ways to improve efficiency and spending
    • Participates in financial standards setting and in forecast process
    • Prepares financial statements and produce budget according to schedule
    • Assists with tax audits and tax returns
    • Supports month-end and year-end close process
    • Perform any other assigned roles

    Qualification and Experience

    • B.Sc/HND in Accounting, Economics or Finance
    • OND with ATS or ICAN / ACCA Part qualification 
    • Minimum of 3 years’ relevant experience

    Set Skills

    • Proven experience as a mid level accountant.
    • Excellent organizing abilities.
    • Great attention to detail.
    • Good with numbers and figures and an analytical acumen.
    • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices.
    • Proficiency in MS Office and familiarity with relevant accounting software
    • Excellent written and oral communications skills 
    • Knowledge of IFRS and statutory reporting
    • Analytical and accounting skills
