    Sales Officer

    About the Role

    • We are seeking a results-driven Sales Officer with strong experience and established networks within the renewable energy sector.
    • The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities, building and maintaining client relationships, and driving revenue growth across the company's renewable energy solutions portfolio.
    • This includes solar projects, mini-grids, and commercial & industrial (C&I) solar systems.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Lead Generation: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, referrals and social-media outreach. Continuously build and refresh a healthy pipeline of qualified leads.
    • Sales Agent Recruitment & Management: Recruit, train, retain and manage sales agents month-on-month. Use the company's product-knowledge and sales-strategy materials to equip agents to perform, and hold them accountable to clear productivity targets.
    • Client Consultation: Assess each customer's energy load profile and budget, recommend the appropriate Solaflix solution — inverter, battery, full solar system, PPA or Solar-as-a-Service — and deliver compelling product demonstrations.
    • Negotiation & Closing: Address client concerns, negotiate pricing and contract terms, and successfully close sales to meet or exceed quotas. Coordinate handover to the technical operations team for installation.
    • Account Management: Build and nurture strong, long-term relationships with existing clients to drive repeat purchases, service-contract attachment, referrals and upsell opportunities (capacity upgrades, additional sites, financing extensions).
    • Market Awareness: Monitor industry trends, competitor activity (Arnergy, Daystar Power, local installers and new entrants), pricing dynamics and policy shifts. Feed insights back to the Head of Sales to keep Solaflix's offer sharp.
    • Reporting & CRM Discipline: Log every interaction, track the sales pipeline accurately, and prepare reliable weekly and monthly sales reports using the company's CRM platform (e.g., Salesforce, Zoho, HubSpot).

    Qualifications

    • A Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field.
    • Equivalent practical experience will also be considered.
    • 2–4 years of proven sales experience in a B2B or B2C environment, with a track record of consistently meeting or exceeding targets. Experience in solar, power, FMCG, financial services or any field-sales-heavy industry is a strong plus.
    • Have built and managed a sales team or agent network before — or can clearly demonstrate the recruiting, coaching and people-management instincts required to build one quickly.
    • Communicate exceptionally well, both verbally and in writing. You listen actively, present confidently, and adjust your style to suit a homeowner, an SME owner or a corporate procurement manager.
    • Are self-motivated, target-driven and resilient. You handle rejection without losing momentum and find energy in hitting and exceeding quotas.
    • Are comfortable with field work in Lagos, including site visits, customer meetings and managing agents on the ground.
    • Have strong CRM hygiene and a respect for data — you'd rather log a call now than forget the details later.
    • Care about Solaflix's mission. You want to put reliable, affordable, clean power into the hands of more Nigerian homes and businesses.

Why you should work with our client

    • Competitive base salary plus an uncapped, performance-driven commission structure — top performers can materially exceed their base earnings.
    • A clear career path. As wescales from a Lagos-based growth-stage operator into a multi-region clean-energy platform, early commercial hires will have first access to senior-leadership roles.
    • Direct mentorship from the Head of Sales and the founding leadership team — short feedback loops, real decision-making access, and a seat at the table.
    • Structured training in solar technology, product specification, sales methodology, financing structures (PPA and Solar-as-a-Service), and CRM tools.
    • Tier-1 product portfolio to sell. You will be representing high-quality, SONCAP-certified inverters, Longi solar panels and LiFePO4 lithium battery storage — backed by 5-year equipment warranties.
    • Mission-driven work. Every system you sell replaces an unreliable grid connection or an expensive, polluting generator with clean, dependable power.
    • A lean, ambitious team where individual contribution is visible and rewarded.
