    Technical Manager, Bakery

    Job Purpose

    • The Technical Manager, Bakery will play a key role in leading and overseeing all technical, production, quality, maintenance and process improvement activities within the bakery operations to ensure the consistent production of safe, high-quality products. You will be responsible for driving operational efficiency, equipment reliability, product innovation, regulatory compliance, and continuous improvement while ensuring adherence to food safety, quality, health, and safety standards.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Oversee equipment and production line performance to ensure optimal performance always.Develop and initiate systems and processes that track and optimize machine performance to ensure effective returns on assets
    • Establish and implement plant maintenance programme based on best practices in the Beverage manufacturing industry
    • Drive continuous improvement in all maintenance activities and develop, plan and implement good maintenance practices to ensure effective asset utilization
    • Enforce the company’s standards of health, safety and environmental practices, the protection of staff in the production floor (use of PPEs) as well as the protection of the company’s assets.
    • Ensure the implementation of best-in-class manufacturing related initiatives such as PPMS (Perfect Plant Manufacturing Systems), etc.
    • Enforce adherence to all applicable regulatory and statutory requirements on machine operations and maintenance
    • Ensure technical functions and activities are carried out in line with 5S, TPM, WCM, Manufacturing excellence, Six Sigma, etc.

    Qualification

    • First Degree or its equivalent in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Process Control & Automation Engineering or related discipline.
    • Minimum of 10 years’ relevant work experience in a well-structured FMCG or Manufacturing environment, with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

    Lead, Talent Management

    Job Purpose

    • The Lead, Talent Management is responsible for developing and implementing talent management strategies that attract, develop, engage, and retain high-performing employees across the organization. You will be responsible for overseeing key talent initiatives, including performance management, succession planning, leadership development, employee engagement, career development, learning and development, and workforce planning.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Plan and forecast workforce requirements in line with the organisation’s strategy and objectives and ensure periodic updates.
    • Maintain an accurate database of manning/grade levels across the company and proactively identify variations with approved manning/grade level for updates.
    • Manage all recruitment activities (vacancy identification, advertisement, candidate screening, testing, interviewing, etc.) ensuring its alignment to the approved workforce plan.
    • Collaborate with departmental heads to conduct comprehensive training needs assessments and develop training plans for employees across the organization.
    • Drive the implementation of learning and development programmes to address identified staff skills and competency needs.
    • Manage organisation-wide performance management system and identify relevant career interventions for staff in collaboration with functional and departmental heads.
    • Coordinate and drive necessary actions on recommendations/ decisions regarding employee appointments, redeployments, relief assignments and promotions across the organization.

    Qualification

    • First degree or its equivalent in Business Administration or any related discipline. Professional certification in HR Management e.g. Senior Professional in HR (SPHRI), Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM), etc. is required.
    • Minimum of 12 years’ job-relevant experience in a well-structured organization, preferably manufacturing or FMCG with at least 5 years in a managerial role.

    Regulatory Tax Officer

    Job Purpose

    • The Regulatory Tax Officer is responsible for ensuring the organization's full compliance with all applicable tax laws, statutory regulations, and regulatory requirements. You will oversees tax reporting, filing, remittance, and regulatory compliance activities while maintaining effective relationships with tax authorities and regulatory agencies.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Implement effective tax planning strategies across the company and ensure full compliance with relevant tax laws.
    • Initiate and implement tax planning initiatives aimed at optimizing the company’s tax exposures.
    • Compute, record, analyze, and report on the VAT, WHT, PAYE, CIT, and all other taxes and levies as may be arising from company’s transactions.
    • Ensure accurate and prompt processing and payment of statutory deductions, such as VAT, WHT, CIT, PAYE, Pension, NSITF, etc. on monthly basis.
    • Understand the financial and operational implications of various tax laws and ensure the company complies with all relevant provisions.
    • Ensure that all regulatory and compliance registrations and clearances needed by the company are up to date.
    • Anchor the annual Tax Clearance Certificates for the company, ensuring that tax computations are accurate and made before the statutory timeline.
    • Compute tax exposures, prepare tax returns, ensure prompt payment of taxes and obtain tax clearance certificates.
    • Responsible for the tax audit of company in conjunction with the External Auditors.
    • Maintain tax balances on general ledger and ensure complete documentation of relevant supports and proof of tax remittance.

    Qualification

    • First Degree or its equivalent in Accounting, Finance, Economics or other relevant discipline.
    • Minimum of 4 years’ experience in FMCG industry is required.

    • Knowledge of Accounting Standards, Principles and Concepts
