• The INTEGRATE trial is a multinational, multicentre, controlled, randomized, adaptative phase II-III platform superiority trial with open-label parallel arms. The primary objective of the trial is to compare the efficacy of interventional medical products (IMPs) to standard of care drug (SCD) on prevention of death or organ failure in hospitalized participants with confirmed LF.
• We are looking for a data entry clerk who will be responsible forentering data into computer database, manage and maintain effective record keeping.
• S/he will work in close collaboration and under the supervision of the project Coordinator, the INTEGRATE project team, the Infection Control Research Center (ICRC) team and the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Laboratory team at the Federal Medical Center Owo (FMCO), and ALIMA’s team in Owo.
• This is an exciting opportunity to gain experience in clinical research, working alongside an international team of doctors, nurses and researchers. The post holders will receive regular training in clinical research methods, as well as the use of advanced clinical monitoring equipment.

Protection of beneficiaries and community members:

• Level 3: The incumbent is responsible for the application of HR processes and may be required to conduct field visits. He/She may therefore be in contact with children and/or vulnerable adults. Therefore, a criminal record check or the presentation of a certificate of good conduct will be required. In situations where the impossibility of providing a criminal record or a certificate of good conduct is established, a declaration on honor will be requested.

Responsibilities

• The data entry clerk will work with ALIMA’s team in the office. The data entry clerk will report to the Study site coordinator.
• Compile, verifying accuracy and enter study data from source documents within time limits
• Input new information into database systems
• Create and manage spreadsheets
• Control the data probity by performing comparative checkout of different sources
• Regularly update existing database system records
• Review data for deficiencies or errors, correcting any incompatibilities and checking output, produce reports
• Document, organize and store relevant documents
• Assist the study coordinator in the resolution of queries and access relevant files,
• Forward SAE and AESI forms within time limits according to the SOPs

The data entry clerk will be expected to:

• Comply with the Lassa ward infection and control procedures at all times
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Comply with data integrity and security policies
• Follow the supervision and instructions of the study coordinator
• Maintain and improve their professional knowledge and competence

Requirements
Education:

• Data entry diploma / nurse
• Additional training in clinical research is desirable

Experience:

• Experience in clinical research, including data collection, is essential
• Experience in a hospital medical service
• Knowledge of at least one data entry software
• Experience with MS Office and data programs
• Fluent English is essential. Yoruba language skills are desirable

Qualities required:

• We are looking for a Study Site Coordinator who will ensure the proper conduct of the INTEGRATE study at the Owo site. This includes ensuring compliance with the study protocol, regulations, and guidelines; Coordinating study-related procedures, monitoring study drug inventory, ensuring data quality and participant safety and well-being during the study.
• S/he will work in close collaboration and under the supervision of the Project Coordinator, the INTEGRATE project team, the Infection Control Research Center (ICRC) team, the Viral Hemorrhagic Fever Laboratory team at the Federal Medical Center Owo (FMCO) and ALIMA’s team in Owo.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the day to day operations of the study; keep track of principal indicators of the study and report ongoing study progress to the international coordination team.
• Ensure that the study is compliant with local and federal laws and regulations at all steps, in all departments (laboratory, ward, data management)
• Acts as a point of reference for study participants by answering questions and keeping them informed on the study progress.
• Coordinate all activities related to study IMPs, assess and follow-up as necessary in accordance with the study protocol and the study schedule
• Support the Medref in the follow-up of study medical items, equipment and supplies, as necessary in accordance with the study protocol and the study schedule
• Oversee the completion of Case Reporting Forms (CRF) and use of electronic data capture systems.
• Participates in the monitoring of CRFs by responding to the queries, and facilitate the national CRA activities when S/he is on site
• Organize and participate in all study related trainings on site, and ensure all the staff expertise follow-up
• Ensure that all SAE and AESI are declare and follow-up
• Support the Medref in Supervising all study related tasks performed (i.e medical examinations, blood tests,…), maintains accurate patient study documentation.
• Work closely with the Medref to ensure timely mortality review of the cases.
• Support the Medref to organize, manage the research team.

• Fluent English is essential. Yoruba language skills are strongly desirable

• We are looking for a Clinical Research Associate to perform monitoring tasks for the INTEGRATE study at inclusion sites in Nigeria and other support tasks.
• He/she will work in direct link with the INTEGRATE international CRAs and the ALIMA coordination team. He/she will collaborate closely with the Infection Control Research Center (ICRC) team, the Federal Medical Center Owo (FMCO) team, the Irrua Specialist Teaching Hospital (ISTH) team and the ALIMA team in Owo.
• The post holders will receive regular training in clinical research methods, as well as the use of advanced clinical monitoring equipment.

Tasks & Responsibilities

• The Clinical Research Assistant will be based with ALIMA’s team in the Abuja office.
• He/She will monitor the trial throughout its duration, which involves visiting the trial sites on a regular basis and dealing with and solving any issues.
• Travel will be required to the inclusion sites approximately once a month for each site.

The Clinical Research Associate will:

• Monitor compliance with good clinical practices and study procedures
• Ensure that events occurring during the trial are promptly communicated to the coordinating team and the relevant authorities.
• Ensure compliance with current regulations and ethical rules.
• Provide detailed monitoring reports to the INTEGRATE coordination team.
• Guarantee the quality of the data collected and check their concordance with source documents.
• Ensure that the study's folders at each site are kept up to date.
• Participate in regular meetings.
• Carry out end-of-study closure activities.

Job Description

• The community outreach Manager will be responsible for the community sensitization and Intergrate study organisation and implementation at the two sites in Nigeria: Owo (Ondo State) and Irrua (Edo State). She/He will be in charge of the design of the strategy, the organisation and implementation of all activities related to community sensitization. She/He will work under the supervision of the ALIMA Project Coordinator and the International clinical trial manager from the team CORAL MIE.

• The incumbent is responsible for the application of HR processes and may be required to conduct field visits. He/She may therefore be in contact with children and/or vulnerable adults. Responsibilities

• She/He will be involved in the design and implementation of a community sensitization strategy, to act as a link between the clinical team and the community, in the implementation of the clinical trial. She/He will participate in training sessions on the strategy and the implementation of sensitization activities.
• She/He will ensure that good practices are followed, the activities calendar is respected and that the quality of the activities is maintained.

Design the community sensitization strategy:

• In collaboration with the sensitization working group, composed of the ALIMA Project Coordinator, the Clinical Trial Manager and scientific from both Sites (FMCO and ISTH), provide a framework and a final version for the design of the strategy considering features of each site (languages, culture…)
• In collaboration with the social sciences research team, consider the results of the formative study to adapt this strategy. In this task, he/she will have to participate to meetings with the social sciences research team.
• In collaboration with the social sciences research team, contribute to the deepening of the understanding of the context, culture and populations’ needs

Supervise the management of the community sensitization team:

• Supervises a team of community advisors at the two sites
• Ensures that community counsellors adhere to good social science research practices, ethics rules and respect the community members.
• Organize the training of the community counsellors’ team before implementation of activities
• Demonstrates respect for the local culture and responds to the project’s objectives and priorities as well as the community’s critical needs
• Organize and supervise the development and implementation of the community sensitization activities
• Design a calendar and retro planning of all community outreach activities
• Consider all key stakeholders (communities, patients/caretakers, staff, MoH, other actors)
• Supervise the identification and welcoming of community members and leaders to be reached, as well as the organisation of the visits in the communities, in close collaboration with ALIMA PC and the local actors (State DSNO, State Public Health Director…)
• Verify with the PC that activities are planned in the Intergrate budget
• Collaborate with logistic teams to ensure optimum engagement with communities around logistical activities in the community and in Alima supported facilities
• Supervise the implementation of the strategy in the field with the team of community counsellors, find translator if needed
• Produce a report to the clinical trial manager of each activity that took place on the field among community members
• Ensure timely analysis and communication to the coordination team (Alima coordination and CORAL) which may lead to an adaptation of strategy/improvement of services.

Experience and Skills
Education:

• Degree in Public Health/Global Health and/or in Human and Social Sciences (sociology, psychology, anthropology), community counselling.
• Minimum Master level.

Experience:

• Experience in community outreach activities (mandatory).
• Experience in social sciences research would be an asset.
• Experience in implementing and evaluating interventions would be an asset.
• Experience in investigating epidemic diseases such as LF or Ebola would be an asset.
