    Credit Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Assess, monitor, and manage credit risks across the mortgage portfolio to ensure alignment with the bank's risk tolerance
    • Perform in-depth credit analysis for loan applications, ensuring thorough evaluation of borrowers' financial standing, creditworthiness, and collateral adequacy.
    • Oversee the end-to-end credit approval process, including the evaluation and recommendation of mortgage loan applications.
    • Regularly review and analyze the bank's mortgage loan portfolio to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement
    • Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies to address any credit-related concerns.

    Requirement

    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field. A Masters degree or professional certification (e.g., CFA, FRM, or PRM) is an added advantage.
    • 10–15 years of proven experience in credit management and risk management, with a focus on mortgage banking or related financial services.
    • Strong understanding of mortgage lending processes, housing finance, and regulatory frameworks governing the mortgage banking industry.
    • Proficiency in financial modeling, credit analysis tools, and risk assessment software.

    Junior Fund / Portfolio Manager

    Responsibilities

    • Oversee investment portfolios with a focus on mortgage-related assets, including MBS, real estate investment trusts (REITs), and other fixed-income products.
    • Ensure portfolio alignment with investment objectives, risk tolerance, and regulatory requirements.
    • Monitor the financial markets, interest rate movement, economic trends, and company performance to assess the suitability and performance of the fund’s existing investments and potential investments
    • Evaluate credit, interest rate, prepayment, and liquidity risks associated with mortgage investments.
    • Maintain strong relationships with clients, providing updates on portfolio performance and addressing concerns.
    • Track and analyze portfolio performance against benchmarks.

    Qualifications

    • A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or any other related discipline.
    • 5 – 7 years of relevant experience with a background in stock brokerage
    • Professional certification such as ACCA/ACA is an added advantage
    • A good understanding of mortgage-backed securities (MBS), collateralized mortgage obligations (CMOs), and structured finance.
    • Must be able to trade in different instruments with a good understanding of the Capital Market
    • Awareness of relevant regulations (e.g., SEC, CFPB, Basel III) impacting the mortgage industry and investment portfolios.

    Junior Secretary

    Responsibilities

    • Assist in the planning and coordination of board and committee meetings by preparing agendas, compiling relevant materials, and recording accurate meeting minutes
    • Assist in preparing and organizing legal documents and correspondence.
    • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
    • Handle basic clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, filing, and data entry.

    Qualification

    Senior Legal Counsel

    Responsibilities

    • Lead the perfection, registration, and management of all property and mortgage title documents, ensuring that each step is executed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and industry best practices.
    • Ensure strict adherence to corporate governance frameworks, guaranteeing compliance with the Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA) and other relevant laws.
    • Oversee the maintenance of statutory registers and filings, ensuring that all documents are accurate, up to date, and filed promptly to meet regulatory requirements
    • Develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive policies and procedures designed to mitigate compliance risks, ensuring that the bank adheres to all relevant legal, regulatory, and industry standards. Provide leadership in managing compliance-related audits and inspections.
    • Lead the review, drafting, and negotiation of complex legal documents, including loan agreements, mortgages, security documents, and other contracts related to the bank’s mortgage operations. Ensure that all documents align with legal standards and the bank's strategic goals.
    • Represent the bank at high-level stakeholder engagements, industry forums, and regulatory meetings, ensuring that the bank’s legal position is clearly communicated and aligned with business objectives.

    Requirement

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Law (LL.B) and a Call to the Nigerian Bar (B.L), Masters degree in Law (LL.M) is an added advantage.
    • 10 - 15 years of post-call legal experience, with a significant portion in a financial institution or similar environment.
    • In-depth knowledge of property law, company secretarial practices, and regulatory frameworks.
    • Strong leadership and people management skills.
    • Proven experience in handling complex legal transactions and compliance matters.
    • Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
    • High ethical standards, discretion, and professionalism.
    • Advanced understanding of corporate governance and financial services regulations.
