Job Summary

A Switchyard Erection/Testing & Commissioning\" position involves physical installation, thorough testing, and final activation of electrical switchyard equipment within a substation, requiring a comprehensive understanding of high voltage power systems, safety protocols, and detailed technical knowledge to ensure the system operates efficiently and reliably according to design specifications. 

Responsibilities

The successful candidates will be responsible for 60MVA, 132/33KV Switchyard erection/Testing & commissioning.

• Candidate should be familiar with  erection /resting & commissioning of 132JV & 33KV Indoor/Outdoor Switchgears like Circuit breaker , Disconnector, Instrument Transformers , Surge arrestor , Power Transformer, Earthing reactor, Wave Trap/LMU  etc.
• HT cable Laying, Termination & HV testing . Design specifications of Cables, Indoor -Outdoor Switchgears, Power Transformer, Earthing reactor etc.
• Candidates should be familiar with use of Test instruments Like, Insulation tester ,Winding Resistance Meter, turns ratio tester, CT/VT Analyzer, Power Quality Analyzer, Hi-Pot tester,  primary/ Secondary Current Injection kits , Relay Testing , DCRM etc.
• Candidates should be familiar with erection of Power Transformer which includes installation of radiator, Conservator, Marshaling Box, Conservator & associated piping, Bushing, OLTC & DM Box, MOG/Bucholz/PRV /Breather etc. Use of Oil Filtration machine & Oil test kit  like BDV test kit, DGA/PPM test kit.
• Candidates should be familiar with Earthing , Lightning protection, & Illumination  work of switchyard.
• Candidate should be familiar with installation 11KV  & 33KV Indoor VCB Panels, Protection & Control relay Panels, NGR panels etc. Wiring of these panels & configuration /testing of Protection relays.
• Candidates shall be able to read GA Drawing . Assembly drawing, Schematic drawings, P&ID , Cable schedules & termination details , Key erection diagram etc.

Requirements

• HND /BE /B-TECH   in Electrical Engineering with minimum 4-6 Years experience in 132/33 Switchyard erection testing & commissioning.
• Candidate shall be familiar with NERC Grid code, NESISR Guidelines & IEC Standard.
• Ability to work on shifts including Saturdays.
• Problem-solving abilities

• Responsible for Ensuring all the piping and equipment erections works at site are as per the P&ID, isometric drawings, assembly drawings and equipment layouts. construction, pre-commissioning, and start-up activities for mechanical and piping systems

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with over 4 years’ experience as Mechanical Engineer- PIPING EXPERT
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD, MS office, word, excel and PowerPoint to maintain reports.

Location: Ogijo, Ogun

Responsible for the maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, commissioning, and substitute of mechanical or piping equipment within the Gas Engine Generators as well as its additional systems such as gas engine, pipeline, pressure pipe, ACMVs, lube oil and coolant pumps arrangement.

Requirements

• Interested candidates should possess HND/Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with over 4 years’ experience as Mechanical Engineer in power generation -Gas engine generators- Wartsila, Jenbacher, Cummins.
• Proficiency in AUTOCAD, MS office, word, excel and PowerPoint to maintain reports.
