    Business Development Manager (Construction Chemicals & Engineering Solutions)

    Job Summary

    • The Business Development Manager will lead strategic revenue growth initiatives, expand market penetration, and strengthen Axion’s presence within the construction, infrastructure, and industrial sectors across assigned locations.
    • This role is strictly suited for a commercially driven professional with proven experience in construction chemicals, paints / coatings. with the ability to manage the full business development cycle from opportunity identification to deal closure.

    Key Responsibilities

    •  Drive new business acquisition across construction, real estate, and infrastructure sectors.
    • Develop and execute strategic sales and market penetration plans for assigned region. 
    • Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors, consultants, developers, and key stakeholders. 
    • Promote Axion’s range of construction chemicals, coatings, and engineering solutions. 
    • Manage full sales cycle: lead generation, proposals, negotiation, and closure. 
    • Achieve and exceed revenue, margin, and growth targets. 
    • Conduct market intelligence and competitor analysis. 
    • Prepare technical and commercial proposals and presentations. 
    • Collaborate with technical and operations teams for project execution. 
    •  Represent the company at industry events, site meetings, and stakeholder engagements.
    • Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and reporting.

    Requirements (Strict – Non-Negotiable)

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business Administration, Marketing, or related field.
    • 4–7 years of proven experience in construction chemicals or paints / coating industry (Mandatory). 
    • Strong professional network within Nigeria’s construction and real estate sector. 
    • Proven track record of achieving sales/revenue targets. 
    • Ability to understand and communicate technical product solutions. 
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills. 
    • Self-driven, target-oriented, and able to work independently.

    Experienced Accountant

    Job Summary

    • The Accountant will be responsible for managing financial records, ensuring accurate reporting, maintaining compliance with statutory requirements, and supporting sound financial decision-making across the organization.
    • This role requires a highly experienced accounting professional with strong knowledge of corporate accounting, project-based accounting, and operational finance within construction, engineering, or related industries.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records and ledgers.
    • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements. 
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes. 
    • Oversee payroll preparation and staff reimbursements. 
    • Perform bank reconciliations and cash flow management. 
    • Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, PAYE, WHT, Company Income Tax). 
    • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities. 
    • Monitor project cost tracking and expense allocations. 
    • Liaise with auditors and support external audit processes.

    • Professional certification is an advantage (ICAN, ACCA preferred). 
    • 4–7 years of proven accounting experience (mandatory). 
    • Experience in construction, engineering, manufacturing, or project-based environment is highly required. 
    • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting standards. 
    • Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, ERP systems). 
    • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills. 
    • High level of integrity and confidentiality. 
    • Ability to work independently and manage multiple responsibilities.
