    Business Development Manager

    Role Description

    • The Business Development Manager will be responsible for driving business growth, identifying new market opportunities, building strategic relationships, and leading sales activities within the assigned territory.
    • The successful candidate will oversee the sales pipeline, manage key client relationships, support tender processes, and lead a team of Sales Representatives to achieve revenue and market expansion objectives.

    This is a full-time, on-site role located in either Lagos, Abuja, or Port Harcourt.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Identify and develop new business opportunities within residential, commercial, and industrial sectors.
    • Build and maintain relationships with architects, consultants, developers, contractors, facility managers, and building owners.
    • Drive specification opportunities by ensuring company solutions are considered during project planning and design stages.
    • Lead the preparation and submission of competitive technical and commercial proposals.
    • Manage and maintain an active sales pipeline with accurate forecasting and reporting.
    • Supervise, coach, and support Sales Representatives to achieve individual and team performance targets.
    • Conduct market intelligence activities and competitor analysis.
    • Represent the company at industry events, exhibitions, networking functions, and professional associations.
    • Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to ensure customer requirements are effectively addressed.
    • Identify modernization, maintenance, and upgrade opportunities within existing and prospective client portfolios.
    • Ensure consistent use of CRM and sales productivity tools for opportunity tracking and reporting.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, Architecture, Building Technology, or a related field.
    • Minimum of 3–5 years' experience in Business Development, Technical Sales, B2B Sales, or Account Management.
    • Experience within the Elevator & Escalator, Construction, HVAC, Engineering Services, Industrial Equipment, Facility Management, or related sectors is highly desirable.
    • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and securing high-value contracts.
    • Demonstrated experience leading or supervising sales teams.
    • Strong negotiation, presentation, and stakeholder management skills.
    • Ability to understand technical concepts and communicate solutions effectively to clients.
    • Proficiency in CRM systems and digital productivity tools.
    • Strong analytical, planning, and reporting capabilities.
    • Valid driver's license and willingness to travel within assigned territory.

    Preferred Skills

    • Experience working with HubSpot, Salesforce, Zoho CRM, ClickUp, or similar platforms.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and project documentation.
    • Strong commercial awareness and strategic thinking skills.
    • Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
    • High level of initiative, accountability, and professionalism.
