Puffin Energy provides clean, affordable and sustainable solar and hybrid energy solutions to residential, commercial, industrial and government customers.

As Puffin Energy expands its renewable energy business, we are seeking an experienced, commercially minded and technically capable professional to lead and drive the development and successful delivery of its growing portfolio of solar, inverter, hybrid and grid-connected energy projects.

The successful candidate will be expected to combine business leadership, renewable-energy expertise and strong project management capability to develop and execute solar and hybrid energy projects from initial concept and client engagement through feasibility, design, procurement, installation, commissioning and final handover.

The role will suit an experienced professional who can both win and manage energy projects and provide effective leadership to technical teams, project managers, engineers, contractors, vendors and other stakeholders.

The successful candidate may be required to personally lead or oversee the complete delivery of major solar PV, inverter, battery storage, hybrid and grid-connected projects, ensuring that projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, to specification and to the satisfaction of the client.

 Requirements

• Bachelor's degree/HND in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Renewable Energy, Energy Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• A Master's degree, MBA or relevant postgraduate qualification will be an advantage.
• Minimum of 6 years' relevant professional experience, with at least 3–5 years in a management, project leadership or senior supervisory role.
• Demonstrable experience in solar energy, renewable energy, electrical engineering, power systems, EPC, infrastructure or a closely related sector.
• Proven experience managing end-to-end solar, inverter, hybrid or renewable energy projects.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects from concept/design through procurement, installation, commissioning and handover.
• Strong understanding of solar PV systems, inverters, battery storage and hybrid energy systems.
• Experience managing EPC contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, consultants and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Demonstrable experience in project planning, scheduling, budgeting, cost control, risk management and quality assurance.
• Strong commercial and business development experience, with a proven ability to identify opportunities and convert them into profitable projects.
• Experience managing multiple projects or project teams simultaneously will be an advantage.
