Key Responsibilities

• Sample Preparation: Collect, prepare, and label samples for testing (e.g.chemical samples).
• Testing and Analysis: Conduct laboratory tests and experiments, analyze results, and record data accurately.
• Equipment Maintenance: Calibrate, clean, and maintain laboratory equipment to ensure accuracy and safety.
• Quality Control: Follow established protocols to ensure quality and reliability in tests and procedures.
• Data Management: Document and maintain accurate records of experiments and test results in laboratory systems.
• Support Research: Assist scientists, chemists, or medical professionals in experiments and research projects.
• Health and Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, including proper handling of hazardous materials.
• Inventory Management: Track and manage laboratory supplies and restock when necessary.

Requirements

• Education: Minimum – Masters Degree in Metallurgy or a Doctorate in Mineral Processing Research.
• Minimum of 5 years relevant working experience as a laboratory technician preferably from the mining industry.
• Strong knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures.
• Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills.
• Proficiency in data analysis and using laboratory software.
• Good communication and teamwork abilities.
