Warehouse Manager (Cocoa) at Neveah Limited

Background

• We seek to hire a qualified and technically competent Warehouse Manager (Cocoa) for its Cocoa Agro commodity. 
• The cocoa warehouse is based in Mowe [Lagos-Ibadan Express Way], Ogun state.
• The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing the receipt, storage, handling, and dispatch of cocoa beans and products in compliance with quality and export standards. 
• This role ensures efficient inventory management, proper documentation, and adherence to safety and regulatory guidelines to support seamless export operations.

Key Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations Management:

• Oversee the receipt, weighing, grading, sorting, and storage of cocoa beans.
• Ensure proper stacking, bagging, and fumigation to maintain cocoa quality.
• Implement FIFO (First-In, First-Out) and FEFO (First-Expired, First-Out) inventory methods.
• Manage loading and dispatch operations to meet export timelines.

Inventory & Documentation Control:

• Maintain accurate stock records, warehouse reports, and inventory levels.
• Implement ERP or warehouse management systems (WMS) for real-time tracking.
• Ensure proper documentation of inbound and outbound shipments.
• Conduct periodic stock audits and reconciliation to prevent losses.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

• Ensure warehouse storage conditions comply with export quality standards (USDA, EU, FDA, SON, etc.).
• Monitor moisture levels, temperature, and pest control to prevent spoilage.
• Ensure proper handling of certified cocoa (organic, fair trade, UTZ, Rainforest Alliance, etc.).

Safety & Regulatory Compliance:

• Maintain warehouse operations in line with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Implement fire safety, fumigation, and hazard control procedures.
• Ensure all export documentation and regulatory requirements are met.

Cost & Process Optimization:

• Reduce storage costs by optimizing space utilization and handling procedures.
• Implement measures to minimize waste, shrinkage, and product deterioration.
• Improve workflow efficiency and automate routine warehouse tasks.

Team Leadership & Training:

• Supervise and train warehouse staff, loaders, forklift operators, and security personnel.
• Develop and enforce SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) for warehouse operations.
• Conduct periodic staff training on handling, documentation, and safety protocols.

Qualifications & Experience

• Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business Administration, or related field.
• 6+ years of experience in warehouse management, preferably in cocoa or agro-commodity exports.
• Strong knowledge of inventory control, WMS, and export logistics.
• Familiarity with cocoa quality standards, fumigation processes, and export documentation.
• Proficiency in ERP systems (MS Dynamics or similar) and MS Excel.
• Excellent leadership, organizational, and problem-solving skills.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

• Inventory Accuracy (%) – Stock records vs. physical count.
• Order Fulfillment Rate (%) – On-time dispatch vs. planned shipments.
• Storage Efficiency (%) – Utilization of warehouse capacity.
• Product Loss & Damage (%) – Cocoa shrinkage, spoilage, and pest infestation rates.
• Regulatory Compliance Rate (%) – Adherence to export and food safety regulations.
• Cost per Ton Stored ($/MT) – Warehouse operational cost efficiency.
