    Store Officer

    Role Description

    • The Store Officer is a full-time, on-site role based at Dukes Neurosurgery and Specialist Hospital in Lagos.
    • The role involves managing the hospital’s store operations, including receiving, labeling, and organizing medical supplies, consumables, and equipment.
    • The Store Officer will maintain accurate stock records, monitor inventory levels, and ensure timely replenishment to support uninterrupted clinical and administrative operations.
    • Day-to-day tasks include preparing and processing purchase requests, tracking deliveries, conducting regular stock counts, and reconciling physical stock with system records.
    • The role also requires collaborating with procurement, finance, and clinical departments to ensure compliance with hospital policies, cost efficiency, and proper storage conditions for sensitive items.

    Qualifications

    • Candidates should possess strong Stock Control and Stock Management skills for tracking, recording, and organizing medical supplies.
    • Candidates should possess experience with Inventory Control and Inventory Management to maintain optimal stock levels and minimize wastage.
    • Candidates should possess competency in handling Purchase Orders and related documentation to support timely and accurate procurement.
    • Candidates should possess good numerical, data entry, and basic computer skills (e.g., MS Excel, inventory software).
    • Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
    • Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with clinical, procurement, and finance teams.
    • Relevant experience in storekeeping, supply chain, or inventory roles, preferably in healthcare or a similar regulated environment, is beneficial.
    • A diploma or degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field is an advantage.
