    Store Officer

    Job Summary

    • We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Store Officer to manage inventory and warehouse operations.
    • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate stock records, proper storage of materials, timely issuance of inventory, and effective inventory control practices that support uninterrupted production and business operations.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Receive, inspect, and verify incoming raw materials, packaging materials, spare parts, and other inventory items.
    • Ensure proper storage, handling, and preservation of all materials in accordance with company standards.
    • Maintain accurate records of stock receipts, issues, transfers, and balances.
    • Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests to prevent stock-outs.
    • Prepare Goods Received Notes (GRNs), Store Requisition Vouchers (SRVs), and other inventory-related documentation.
    • Conduct daily, weekly, and monthly stock counts and reconciliations.
    • Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, damages, losses, and obsolete stock.
    • Coordinate with Procurement, Production, Finance, and Internal Control departments to ensure inventory accuracy.
    • Monitor inventory movements and ensure compliance with approved procedures.
    • Maintain an organised, clean, and safe store environment.
    • Generate inventory reports and provide management with accurate stock information.
    • Support periodic internal and external audits.
    • Ensure compliance with company policies, inventory control procedures, and health and safety standards.

    Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

    • Inventory accuracy rate.
    • Stock variance and reconciliation performance.
    • Timeliness of inventory reporting.
    • Stock availability and prevention of stock-outs.
    • Compliance with inventory control procedures.
    • Storehousekeeping and safety compliance.
    • Reduction in inventory losses, damages, and obsolete stock.

    Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree or HND in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Accounting, Statistics, or a related discipline.
    • Minimum of 3 years' experience in storekeeping, warehouse management, or inventory control, preferably within a manufacturing, feed mill, FMCG, or industrial environment.
    • Good knowledge of inventory management principles and stock control procedures.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and inventory management software or ERP systems.
    • Experience in managing raw materials, finished goods, and consumable inventory.
    • Strong numerical and analytical skills.
    • Ability to prepare inventory reports and maintain accurate documentation.
