School Accountant at Halifield Schools

Halifield Schools is seeking a competent, experienced, and detail-oriented School Accountant to join its team.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Professional accounting qualification is an added advantage.
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks is mandatory.
• Minimum of 2–3 years’ accounting experience.
• Previous experience in a school environment is highly essential.
• Sound knowledge of financial reporting, budgeting, payroll processing, and bank reconciliations.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software.

Key Responsibilities

• Maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions.
• Prepare financial reports and management accounts.
• Manage payroll processing and statutory remittances.
• Monitor school fees collection and reconcile accounts.
• Prepare budgets and support financial planning activities.
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and regulatory requirements.
• Liaise with auditors, banks, and relevant stakeholders as required.
