The company is currently engaged in the business of distribution of refined petroleum products and Liquified Petroleum Gas (LPG). They are either imported directly from our international trading partners or via coastal lifting through a strategic alliance with Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation.

    Stock Control Officer

    Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

    Description

    • Participate in taking opening and closing dip for each day for each product tank.
    • Send daily loading and ROB report to the Head, Internal Audit.
    • Witness ullaging of loaded trucks on a random basis
    • Witness receipt of AGO for internal use and escalating discrepancy between quantity received and quantity ordered.
    • Review of daily loading report for completeness and accuracy and escalation of any exception to Head of Internal audit.
    • Participate in receipt of product from Vessel to Shore tanks and escalate to Head, Internal Audit if there is any discrepancy.
    • Performs retail station audit when required.
    • Daily reconciliation of dispatch and security truck out register to ensure they tally.
    • Rule off staff attendance book at the approved time.
    • Daily review of diesel dispensing register for accuracy.
    • Review and sign off on Goods Received Acknowledgement form for delivery of diesel, stationery and other items to the depot.
    • Ensures compliance with established internal control procedures by examining records, reports, operating practices, and documentation.
    • Ensure complete, accurate and timely audit information is reported to Head of unit.
    • Conducts inquiries, gather and examine evidence for the investigations of suspected internal fraud, errors or irregularities.
    • Give independent and objective report on the investigation of errors, irregularities and fraud identified in terminal operations and other company’s business operations.
    • Completes audit by documenting audit investigations and findings by producing up-to-the-minute information to allow management base decisions on actual, not historical data.
    • Conduct year-end inventory count and periodic fixed asset verification exercises.
    • Implement the development / evaluation of company’s business processes and procedures to guide against fraud, irregularities and errors
    • Implements company’s internal control system/programmes to ascertain and report on degree of compliance with company approved policies and operating procedures, laws, regulations and code of good business practices.
    • Reports significant risk exposures and control issues, including fraud risks, governance issues, and other matters needed or requested by the Board.
    • Implement internal audit strategies and action plans to promote a culture of transparency and accountability in company’s business operations.
    • Identify and reduce all business and financial risks through effective implementation and monitoring of controls.
    • Implement and maintain audit policies and procedures in accordance with company established best practice.
    • Prepare detailed and timely reports on audit findings.
    • Report to unit head about asset utilization and audit results, and recommend changes / improvement in operations.

    Qualifications, Experiences and Skills

    • B.Sc. / HND with a minimum of Second Class Upper / Upper Credit in any of the following fields: Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Mathematics, Engineering Statistics, Economics or any other equivalent qualification from a recognized institution
    • Minimum of five (5) years relevant experience in auditing, preferably in an accounting or Oil and Gas industry
    • Effective written and verbal communication skills across a range of audiences, including senior management
    • Ability to analyse complex information to identify control issues and develop simple, meaningful solutions
    • Capacity to exercise professional judgement in the development, explanation and communication of IA findings particularly in adverse contexts
    • Ability to anticipate and adjust to changing circumstances
    • Analytical thinker with strong conceptual and problem-solving skills.
    • Meticulous attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Excellent documentation, communication and IT skills.

    Salary

    • N150,000 - N250,000 monthly.
