Role Description

• This is a full-time, on-site role for a State Operating Officer to be deployed in any of our States of Operation in Nigeria. This role is responsible for driving operational excellence, financial performance, regulatory compliance, innovation, and customer connection within the assigned State. The SOO will lead people, processes, and systems to deliver JED Plc’s strategic objectives and ensure sustainable business growth.

Qualifications

• Minimum, A Master’s Degree in a Relevant Discipline
• Relevant professional certification (NIM, COREN, etc.)
• Minimum 10 years’ leadership experience (utility/energy sector experience is a plus)
• Strong track record in operations, finance, stakeholder management, and change leadership
• Strong organization skills to manage daily operations and deliver efficiency improvements
• Ability to conduct detailed research and apply findings to enhance operational strategies
• Excellent team spirit and collaboration skills for coordinating with various departments and personnel
• Responsiveness and the ability to adapt quickly to address operational issues and customer needs
• Experience in providing or participating in training programs to enhance team performance
• Strong leadership and decision-making skills
• Experience in the power or utilities sector is a strong advantage
• Bachelor's degree in business administration, engineering, or a related field
