Electrical Engineer at MEPco Engineering

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer with a minimum of 6 years of electrical systems for residential and commercial buildings. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed electrical designs,  coordinating with multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and projects requirements.  

KEY REQUIREMENTS

• Design electrical systems for residential and commercial projects including power distribution, lighting, earthing and ELV systems
• Prepare detailed drawings using AutoCAD and Revit (BIM)
• Perform load calculations, cable sizing, and panel board design.
• Develop single line diagrams  and schematics
• Ensure compliance with IEC, BS,NEC standards
• Coordinate with MEP disciplines
• Review shop drawings and technical submittals
• Attend coordination meetings and support execution
• Assist in value engineering and system optimization
• Conduct site visit when required

REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering
• Minimum 6 years of experience in electrical design for buildings
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Revit (BIM)
• Solid knowledge of electrical standards and load calculations
• Experience in residential and commercial projects
• Understanding of ELV systems
• Strong communication and communication skills

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Experience in hospitality or hotel projects
• Familiarity with IEC, NEPA,BS standards
• Experience in Nigeria or similar markets
• Knowledge of ETAP, Dialupx or similar software
