Pulse is launching a new media product - Pulse Sports. We're looking for a Social Media Lead who will be responsible for building and implementing an exciting and unique strategy across TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter.
The Social Media Lead should be crazy about sports and able to create epic and original content, both by themselves and supported by a small team.

Pulse Sports aims to become the number one Sports Media brand in Africa.
This role represents an opportunity to collaborate with some of the best editors, content creators, and media professionals in the country on extremely fun projects that will reach and excite millions of people across Africa.
Key Responsibilities
Help define strategy across the key social media channels: Twitter, Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook
Create and execute weekly plans based on the overall strategy, review, and report on their achievement and effectiveness
Regularly hit ambitious posting and engagement targets across channels
Regularly post original and exciting multi-media content, assisted by a small but talented team of editors and creatives
Drive rapid growth in the following and engagement of accounts, using traditional and innovative methods
Understand and analyse trends to ensure a data-driven approach
Create and constantly update channel and social content guidelines (best practices, features, community standards, copyright/IP, experiment briefs, etc.) - reviewing these with team members regularly to ensure a cohesive approach
Work alongside the EIC and Project Leader in developing decks for social content formats and special campaigns for monetizationStay up-to-date on the current technologies, channel features, trends in social media tools, applications strategy and design, and other relevant opportunities
Represent Pulse Sports at industry events exploring relevant opportunities to position and promote the brand
Skills & Experience Required
Experience managing fast-growing social media accounts of 20,000+ followers (either company or personal)
Good knowledge of Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and TikTok, including an appreciation of the different strategies for each platform
Experience managing a high volume of posts (multiple posts a day on 3+ channels)
Epic and unique ideas for content including video, graphic design, editorials, memes, etc
Understanding of the Nigerian digital consumer market, including user trends and behaviours
Experience managing and being fully accountable for deadlines and output
Passion for sports and experience in a sports-related industry (eg. Football, Sports Betting) is a huge plus
Graphic design and/or video/photography skills are a huge plus
Experience managing paid social media advertising and google analytics is a plus
