    Senior Technical Advisor - Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health (MNCH) with Focus on HIV, PMTCT, and Cervical Cancer Screening

    Job Overview

    • Georgetown Global Health Nigeria is seeking an experienced and dedicated professional for the position of Senior Technical Advisor for Maternal, Neonatal, and Child Health on the Accelerating Control of the HIV Epidemic, Cluster 2 (ACE 2) project.
    • This role will specifically focus on integrating HIV activities, Prevention of Mother-to-Child Transmission (PMTCT), and cervical cancer screening and management within the MNCH framework.
    • The ideal candidate will provide technical and administrative leadership for these interconnected areas and serve as the primary point of contact for donors and stakeholders. Female candidates are strongly encouraged to apply, and fluency in Hausa languages is considered an asset.

    Responsibilities
    Technical Leadership:

    • Provide strategic guidance for the integration of HIV, PMTCT, and cervical cancer screening and management into MNCH programs.
    • Ensure alignment with global and national guidelines and best practices in these thematic areas.

    Project Management:

    • Oversee the planning, implementation, and evaluation of integrated MNCH, HIV, PMTCT, and cervical cancer initiatives.
    • Monitor program performance, identify challenges, and propose solutions for continuous improvement.

    Community Programs:

    • Lead the development and implementation of community-based initiatives targeting maternal, neonatal, and child health, with a specific focus on HIV-related activities.
    • Collaborate with community stakeholders to enhance program effectiveness and sustainability.

    Stakeholder Engagement:

    • Act as the primary point of contact for donors, partners, and stakeholders involved in MNCH, HIV, PMTCT, and cervical cancer programs.
    • Foster strong relationships and communication channels to ensure ongoing support and collaboration.

    Capacity Building:

    • Provide training and capacity-building support in the areas of HIV, PMTCT, and cervical cancer for project staff and relevant stakeholders.

    Reporting and Documentation:

    • Prepare comprehensive reports on integrated MNCH, HIV, PMTCT, and cervical cancer activities, outcomes, and impact for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of project activities.

    Minimum Requirements
    Education:

    • Advanced Degree in Public Health, Medicine, Nursing, or a related field.

    Experience:

    • A minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in designing, implementing, and managing integrated MNCH, HIV, PMTCT, and cervical cancer programs. Significant experience and expertise in HIV-related activities, PMTCT, and cervical cancer screening and management.

    Technical Expertise:

    • In-depth knowledge of evidence-based interventions and best practices in MNCH, HIV, PMTCT, and cervical cancer.
    • Familiarity with global and national guidelines and policies related to these thematic areas.

    Communication Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with diverse stakeholders.

    Language Skills:

    • Fluency in Hausa languages is considered an asset.

    Geographical Experience:

    • Experience working in Northern Nigeria is preferred.
