Job Purpose
Under the supervision of and in regular consultation with the Programme Manager, the Project Coordinator will provide strategic leadership and technical oversight for the implementation of the BOLD ACTION Project in Oju and Obi Local Government Areas of Benue State. The Project Coordinator will be responsible for the planning, coordination, implementation, monitoring, reporting and quality assurance of all project activities, ensuring compliance with CBM and Elim CVTC policies, donor requirements and project objectives. The role also involves strengthening partnerships with government institutions, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), community structures and other key stakeholders to promote disability-inclusive community development.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Public Health, Community Development, Project Management, Disability Studies or another relevant field. A Master’s degree will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of five (5) years’ progressive experience managing donor-funded development projects, preferably in disability-inclusive development, community development or humanitarian programming.
- Demonstrated experience coordinating multi-stakeholder projects involving government agencies, civil society organizations, community structures and development partners.
- Proven experience in project planning, budgeting, implementation, monitoring and donor reporting.
- Excellent report writing, communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience working with international donor compliance requirements is highly desirable.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Provide overall coordination and technical leadership for the implementation of the BOLD ACTION Project.
- Lead project planning, implementation, monitoring, evaluation and learning activities in line with approved work plans and donor requirements.
- Coordinate project implementation with government ministries, departments and agencies, Organizations of Persons with Disabilities (OPDs), community structures and relevant stakeholders.
- Strengthen community structures and local partners to promote disability inclusion, participation and sustainable community development.
- Supervise project staff and consultants while promoting teamwork, accountability and high performance.
- Ensure timely implementation of project activities within approved budgets and timelines.
- Coordinate project review meetings, planning sessions and stakeholder engagements.
- Monitor project risks and ensure compliance with safeguarding, accountability and organizational policies.
- Prepare and submit high-quality narrative reports, work plans and project documentation that meet donor standards.
- Represent Elim CVTC during meetings, workshops and donor engagements.
- Support learning, documentation of best practices and visibility of project achievements.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the Programme Manager.
Languages
Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of Igede, Idoma, Tiv or other local languages will be an added advantage.
