Pulse Picks is looking for a Senior Social Media Strategist who is deeply versed in social media strategy, audience engagement, and content direction.
This role is critical in defining what we talk about, what we drive, and how we connect with our audience across platforms.
The ideal candidate will set the monthly content direction, ensuring it aligns with platform trends, audience interests, and business goals. Working alongside dedicated content creators, this person will craft and execute a data-driven strategy that drives audience growth, engagement, and conversions.
This role requires a social-first thinker who can blend creativity with analytics, leveraging research, trends, and audience insights to shape Pulse Picks’ content and brand identity.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute Pulse Picks’ monthly content strategy, ensuring it aligns with audience trends and business objectives.
Define the overarching social media strategy, setting priorities for engagement, reach, and content themes.
Own and refine the brand’s voice, ensuring all content is on-brand, impactful, and optimised for different platforms.
Lead audience growth initiatives, ensuring content is designed to attract, retain, and engage users.
Stay ahead of trends, analysing platform algorithms and audience behaviours to optimise content performance.
Collaborate with dedicated creators to ensure high-quality, engaging, and social-first content.
Use research and data insights to drive decisions, continuously optimising content for engagement and conversion.
Work with marketing and sales teams to ensure content aligns with revenue-generating opportunities.
Act as the main point of creative contact for brand partnerships, ensuring collaborations align with Pulse Picks’ creative vision.
Identify new content formats and platforms that can enhance engagement and audience reach.
Mentor and guide content creators, ensuring consistency in execution and adherence to best practices.
Requirements
Deep expertise in social media strategy, audience engagement, and content growth.
Proven track record in content strategy, digital marketing, or social-first brand building.
Experience in trendspotting, audience research, and performance optimisation for social media content.
Strong understanding of platform algorithms, engagement tactics, and content virality.
Ability to translate audience insights into actionable content strategies.
