Senior Product Manager at iRecruiters Africa Limited

• This role requires a strategic thinker with strong fintech experience, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a passion for building customer-centric products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Define and execute product strategy aligned with business objectives.
• Own and prioritize the product roadmap based on customer needs and business impact.
• Lead product discovery through customer research, market analysis, and competitor insights.
• Develop Product Requirement Documents (PRDs), user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Partner with Engineering, Design, Marketing, Sales, and Customer Success teams throughout the product lifecycle.
• Lead sprint planning, backlog grooming, product reviews, and product launches.
• Monitor product performance and use data-driven insights to improve user experience and business outcomes.
• Define and track product success metrics, including growth, engagement, and retention.
• Identify new product opportunities and drive innovation.
• Present product strategies, progress updates, and recommendations to senior leadership.
• Leverage AI tools to enhance product research, documentation, prioritization, and execution.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related field.
• 7+ years of Product Management experience, with at least 3 years in a Senior Product Manager role or managing complex digital products.
• Fintech experience is mandatory.
• Experience working in a fast-paced startup or high-growth technology company is highly preferred.
• Proven experience building, launching, and scaling digital products with measurable outcomes such as user growth, engagement, retention, revenue, or adoption.
• Demonstrated ownership of products from discovery through launch, iteration, and continuous improvement.
• Strong understanding of digital payments and financial services.
• Product Management certifications (Product School, Pragmatic Institute, Scrum, etc.) are an advantage.
• Strong experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Excellent product documentation skills with the ability to write clear and comprehensive Product Requirement Documents (PRDs).
• Proficiency in product strategy, roadmap planning, product discovery, analytics, backlog management, user story writing, product launches, and feature prioritization.
• Good understanding of APIs and basic SQL.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, Notion, and Figma.
• Demonstrated proficiency using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Perplexity, and Notion AI for product research, PRD creation, market analysis, customer insights, prioritization, and workflow optimization.
• Strong strategic thinking and commercial acumen.
