    Senior Legal Associate

    • General Role maintain client correspondence inventory, liaise with departments for document delivery, oversee legal compliance, handle clerical duties, and perform assigned tasks from team lead and Head of Department.

    Reporting To LINE MANAGER

    Key Functions & Responsibilities

    • Draft and review legal documents such as deed of assignment, contract of sale, estate guidelines, memorandum of understanding and Terms & conditions.
    • Attend to, retrieve and file legal correspondences and letters sent by external solicitors and clients.
    • Prepare, submit and prompt follow–up of internal memo drafted in respect of the department’s key tasks to be undertaken.
    • Maintain an inventory of clients’ correspondences and letters
    • Liaise and work with key departments for timely delivery of clients’ title documents (Contract of Sale, Deed of Assignment, and Survey Plan).
    • Manage regulatory and legal compliance-related issues.
    • Responsible for legal clerical duties and proper documentation filing
    • To perform all other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the team lead and Head of Department.

    Competencies

    • Minimum of Five (5) years’ work experience as a Lawyer
    • Good understanding of general legal practice in Nigeria
    • Knowledgeable in real estate practice in Nigeria
    • Sound contract review and drafting skills
    • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
    • Analytical thinker with strong research skills
    • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office programs

    Qualification

    • Bachelor of Laws Degree (LL.B) from a reputable institution.
    • Barrister-at-Law Degree (B.L) from the Nigerian Law School.
    • Call to Bar Certificate from the Nigerian Law School.
    • National Youth Service Corps Certificate.
