Cashier at Makinzil Pharmacy and Stores

Job Summary

Makinzil Pharmacy & Stores is seeking a reliable and customer-focused Cashier to manage transactions efficiently and provide excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will handle payments, assist customers with inquiries, and ensure a smooth checkout experience while maintaining accuracy and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide prompt, courteous service.
• Process sales transactions accurately using the point-of-sale (POS) system.
• Handle cash, debit/credit card payments, and other payment methods securely.
• Issue receipts, refunds, and change as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked checkout area.
• Assist customers with product inquiries and direct them to appropriate store sections.
• Balance cash register at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Monitor inventory levels at the checkout and report shortages.
• Follow all company policies, especially regarding safety, security, and confidentiality.
• Support other store operations when needed.

Requirements & Qualifications

• Minimum of OND or equivalent qualification.
• Proven experience as a cashier or in a similar retail role is an advantage.
• Basic knowledge of POS systems and cash handling procedures.
• Strong numerical skills and attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of honesty, integrity, and accountability.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive tasks.

Preferred Skills

• Familiarity with pharmacy or retail store operations.
• Customer service experience.
• Basic computer literacy.

Working Conditions

• Flexible shifts, including weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) and holidays if required.
• Retail store environment with frequent customer interaction.

Compensation & Benefits
