Topographic surveying involving the measurement and mapping of the natural and man-made features of a land area. Generate detailed information about the elevation, contours, vegetation, and water bodies present within and around Alaro City as required.
Engineering surveying involving providing precise measurements and data for construction projects includes tasks such as setting out the layout of infrastructure projects, monitoring their progress, and ensuring accuracy during the construction process.
Cadastral surveying involving the identification, measurement, mapping, demarcation and documentation of land boundaries.
Geodetic surveying using Global Positioning System (GPS) technology and Total Station to accurately determine and establish the coordinates and positions of points on the earth’s surface.
Prepare and maintain sketches, maps, plans of properties within Alaro City and maintain accurate data on Egnyte.
Verify surveying data and calculations, with regards to all developmental projects within Alaro City
Develop survey plans, methods and procedures for conducting legal surveys
Plan, direct and supervise or conduct surveys to establish and mark legal boundaries of properties, parcels of lands, utility rights-of-way, roadways, as-built service ducts and highways
Determine precise locations using electronic distance measuring equipment, global positioning systems (GPS), and unmanned aerial vehicles (UAV)/drones
Analyze, manage and display data using geographic information systems (GIS) and computer-aided design and drafting (CAD)
Record all measurements and other information obtained during survey activities
Prepare or supervise the preparation and compilation of all data, plans, charts, records and documents related to surveys of real property boundaries
Ensure application and compliance with Group Anti-Corruption and Bribery Policy, Anti-Money Laundering Policy and Health, Safety and Quality standards;
Ensure compliance with Health and Safety policies on site at all times; and
All other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
Hard skills and experience:
A minimum of 5 years’ experience as a land surveyor,
Degree in Surveying, Engineering or related field
Hands-on field experience in an advantage
Working knowledge of GPS and GIS
Tech savvy, including familiarity with CAD software
Aptitude in math and problem-solving
Attention to detail
Great organizational and leadership skills
Valid certificate is required
Membership of Nigeria Institution of Surveyors (NIS) is an added advantage
