Job Summary:

The Senior HR Business Partner serves as a strategic liaison between HR and designated business units, aligning people strategies with business goals. This role provides expert HR guidance in areas such as workforce planning, talent management, performance development, employee relations, and organizational effectiveness to support the overall mission of the HMO in delivering quality healthcare.

Salary: 400,000 Monthly (Net)

Key Responsibilities:

1. Partner with business leaders to develop and implement HR strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
2. Support workforce planning, succession planning, and organizational design initiatives.
3. Advise on organizational change and HR implications of operational decisions.
4. Oversee performance management cycles and ensure effective appraisal systems.
5. Identify training and development needs and collaborate with L&D teams to deliver targeted interventions.
6. Support high-potential employee development and retention strategies.
7. Manage employee relations issues, ensuring fair and consistent application of company policies and Nigerian labor law.
8. Promote a positive work environment through employee engagement and conflict resolution practices.
9. Ensure HR practices comply with regulatory requirements relevant to the healthcare sector.
10. Analyze HR metrics and provide insight into trends such as attrition, engagement, and productivity.
11. Drive HR projects such as audits, policy reviews, job evaluations, and salary benchmarking.
12. Collaborate with other HR units (recruitment, payroll, HRIS) for seamless service delivery.
13. Serve as a trusted advisor to department heads and unit managers.
14. Facilitate communication between employees and management.
15. Support the embedding of the HMO's values and culture across teams.

Qualifications & Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Relations, Business Administration, Psychology, or a related field.
2. A Master’s degree or MBA in Human Resources or a related discipline is an added advantage.
3. Professional HR certification is required (e.g., CIPM, PHRi/SPHRi).
4. Minimum of 5 - 7 years progressive HR experience, with at least 2  years in an HRBP or strategic HR leadership role.
5. Proven experience in an HMO, healthcare, or highly regulated environment is a strong advantage.
6. Demonstrated expertise in handling complex employee relations, organizational development, and talent management initiatives.
7. Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws, HR compliance standards, and healthcare regulatory frameworks.
8. Excellent interpersonal, consulting, and stakeholder management skills.
9. Data-driven approach to HR decision-making; experience using HRIS and HR analytics tools.
