The position holder is responsible for the origination and execution of financial advisory mandates, contribution to the achievement of the Company’s performance targets

Job Details

Deal Origination and Execution: 

• Responsible for identifying and sourcing financial advisory opportunities including mergers & acquisitions, capital restructuring, debt and equity capital raising. 
• Manage all stages of financial advisory mandates, including pitching, execution, documentation and closing. 
• Develop, structure and lead the execution of complex solutions for clients, while providing adequate mentorship to junior team members. 
• Ensure effective stakeholder management during execution of transactions, including the client’s mid-to-senior level and relevant regulatory bodies. Strategy development and Business Performance management: 
• Strategy development and Business Performance management:
• Continuously evaluate the external environment and assess the impact on the business and recommend any necessary changes to the business plan, where required. 
• Develop deep understanding of the Company’s strategy and co-lead the execution of the same, promoting cross-selling activities across the Group. 
• Proactively develop relationships with key external stakeholders, regulators relevant to the business, ensure the business gets appropriate co-operation when required and that the Group meets and is seen to meet regulatory compliance.
• Financial advisory experience is essential; strong financial modelling skills backed by references and deal sheet; demonstrated ability to structure complex debt and equity transactions. 
• Strong interpersonal skills, ability to interact effectively with colleagues from other businesses within the group. 
• Strong business development and client relationship skills demonstrated by track record; sound business judgment in screening and identifying deal opportunities. 
• Coaching and mentoring junior colleagues involves providing guidance, support, and development opportunities to help them improve their skills, performance and the job. Sound understanding of the market and regulatory environment

Requirements

Educational Requirements 

• Possess a bachelor's degree in a numerate discipline master’s degree in business, finance, or a similar relevant field of study, or professional qualification (CFA, ACCA, ACA) will be added advantage 
• Professional Requirements:  Detail oriented, good with numbers and competitive, experience with financial modelling and valuation 
• Experience Requirements :  Minimum of 7 years of work experience in a financial advisory role with an investment bank.  Progressive track record of deals sourced, executed and successfully concluded. 
• SEC Sponsored individual is an additional advantage
