SAP-BASIS Consultant (Oil and Gas) at Dangote

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced SAP-BASIS Consultant to join our team, specializing in the oil and gas industry. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP-BASIS administration and at least 3 years of experience in administering and supporting SAP-BASIS systems in the oil and gas sector.

Key Responsibilities

• SAP System Administration: Administer and maintain SAP systems, including installation, configuration, and patching.
• System Performance Optimization: Optimize system performance, including database tuning, memory management, and system monitoring.
• Security and Authorization: Manage security and authorization, including user administration, role management, and audit logging.
• Data Management: Manage data, including data backup and recovery, data archiving, and data migration.
• Troubleshooting and Support: Provide technical support and troubleshooting services for SAP-BASIS systems.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including business users, project managers, and technical teams.
• Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain documentation, including system documentation, user manuals, and knowledge base articles.

Requirements

• Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: At least 3 years of experience in SAP-BASIS administration, specifically in the oil and gas industry.
• SAP-BASIS Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SAP-BASIS administration, including system installation, configuration, and patching.
• Oil and Gas Industry Knowledge: Understanding of the oil and gas industry, including upstream, midstream, and downstream operations.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in SAP-BASIS administration tools, including SAP GUI, SAP CCMS, and SAP Solution Manager.
• Soft Skills: Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.
• Certifications: SAP certification in SAP-BASIS administration or related modules.

Nice to Have

• Experience with SAP S/4HANA: Familiarity with SAP S/4HANA, including system architecture and administration.
• Knowledge of SAP Cloud Platform: Understanding of SAP Cloud Platform, including cloud infrastructure and administration.
• Experience with Agile Methodologies: Familiarity with agile methodologies, including Scrum and Kanban.
