The School Principal is the instructional leader and chief administrator responsible for the day-to-day management, academic performance, and overall operational effectiveness of the school. Working under the strategic direction of the Head of School (or Board), the Principal ensures the delivery of high-quality education aligned with international standards.

Key Responsibilities
Instructional Leadership and Academic Excellence
- Lead the planning, implementation, and evaluation of the school’s academic programs.
- Ensure high standards of teaching and learning across all subjects and grade levels.
- Monitor student achievement data and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Oversee curriculum delivery (e.g., British, IB, American, or hybrid systems).
- Promote innovative teaching practices and integration of technology in learning.
Staff Management and Professional Development
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
- Implement performance management systems, including appraisals and goal setting.
- Identify professional development needs and coordinate training programs.
- Foster a collaborative, accountable, and high-performance staff culture.
School Operations and Administration
- Oversee daily school operations, ensuring efficiency and organisation.
- Implement school policies, procedures, and administrative systems.
- Coordinate academic schedules, timetables, and school activities.
- Ensure effective management of school resources and facilities.
Student Discipline and Welfare
- Maintain a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
- Implement effective student discipline policies and behaviour management systems.

Compliance and Quality Assurance
- Ensure compliance with local education regulations and international standards.
- Prepare the school for inspections, evaluations, and accreditation processes.
- Monitor adherence to safeguarding, health, and safety policies.
Parent and Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with parents and guardians.
- Communicate effectively regarding student progress, school policies, and initiatives.
- Represent the school in meetings, events, and external engagements.
Strategic Support and School Improvement
- Support the Head of School in implementing strategic initiatives.
- Lead school improvement plans and ensure measurable outcomes.
- Contribute to long-term planning, enrolment growth, and institutional development.

Education

- Recognised teaching qualification and leadership certification (e.g., PGCE, NPQH, IB Leadership training).
Experience
- Minimum of 7–10 years of progressive experience in education, including:
- At least 3–5 years in a leadership role (e.g., Vice Principal, Head of Department, Academic Coordinator).
- Experience in an international school setting is strongly required.
Technical Expertise
- Strong knowledge of international curricula (British, IB, American, etc.).
- Experience with school inspections, quality assurance, and accreditation frameworks.
- Familiarity with data analysis tools and school management systems.
