    Sales Team Lead

    Job Objective

    To develop and implement sales strategies in conjunction with the Sales Manager that will boost our sales and improve business relationships with our partners. This includes developing the sales team, coordinating sales operations and implementing sales techniques that allow the business to meet and surpass its sales target consistently.

    Core Functions

    • Developing and implementing sales strategies in conjunction with the Sales Manager to drive sales.
    • Achieving growth and hitting sales targets by successfully managing the team and by assessing the team’s strengths and weaknesses regularly.
    • Building and promoting healthy, long lasting customer relations with existing and prospective key accounts by partnering effectively with them.
    • Collaborating with the Sales Manager in planning the following year's business plan to position us as market leaders.
    • Working closely with all key account representatives and sales associates to derive exceptional services to all distributors.
    • Developing and implementing new sales initiatives, strategies, and programs to capture key demographics.
    • Establishing productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned distributor accounts.
    • Liaise and develop professional relationships with regional representatives and executives.
    • Working closely with RSM’s to ensure that invoices generated for distributors are treated swiftly and goods delivered to the distributors in record time. 
    • Provide sales support to sales representatives in Ikeja and Lagos Island in generating the sales order.
    • Analysing market trends and competitors’ activities to identify opportunities for growth and business profitability.
    • Ensure accurate sales reporting, data entry and maintenance of sales records to maintain the integrity of our records.
    • Ensure that products are properly displayed in the showroom according to the company planogram
    • Working closely with the house keepers to ensure that the showroom is kept clean and well organized for smooth business operations.

    Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Economics or related fields.
    • 3+ years of sales supervision and leadership experience.
    •  Proven sales performance and leadership skills.
    • Proficiency training in Sales strategies and techniques
    • Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and sales targets.
    • Certification in Key Account Management 
    • Proficiency in MS Office and sales software applications.

    Skills:

    • Strong analytical skills to analyse market trends and competitor activities.
    • Excellent communication skills to build relationships with partners and stakeholders.
    • Strategic thinking to develop effective sales plans 
    • Negotiation skills to secure profitable deals and partnerships
    • Attention to detail to ensure accurate implementation of sales strategies.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Strong organizational and time management skills.
