Responsibilities

• Engage clients to gather information and documentation for credit analysis processes.
• Review incoming requests to determine eligibility for loans.
• Carry out comprehensive credit analysis to arrive at a credit score and final loan decision.
• Set up, implement and manage loan covenants, risk triggers, collection mandates and collaterals.
• Gather data to populate our daily market commentary broadcasts
• Stay abreast of industry and market issues as they affect the finance industry.
• Conduct periodic portfolio stress tests to continuously monitor the state of the loan portfolio.
• Create methodology to monitor, report and mitigate deteriorating credits thereby limiting NPL and provisioning.
• Provide Credit Portfolio Reports.
• Identify and proffer credit risk mitigating processes and strategies.
• Support Management in the conceptualization and implementation of the retail growth strategy and product developments.

Requirements

• BSc in Accounting, Banking & Finance, Marketing or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years cognate experience in credit underwriting and loan disbursement from a Digital Lender or Microfinance Bank.
• A good knowledge of the micro-credit and SME loan industry, with hands-on experience with lending procedures and products.
• Excellent analytic, numerical, organizational, critical thinking, logical reasoning, communication and presentation skills.
