Accountant (General, GMS & Donor Reporting) at a Reputable Company

This role requires BOTH strong general core accounting operations experience AND hands-on donor Grant Management System reporting experience. This is a high-accountability role requiring precision, ownership, and strong understanding of donor financial rules.

General Accounting & Financial Management

• Maintain complete and accurate books of accounts 
• Oversee cash, bank, assets, advances, and reconciliations 
• Supervise Account Officers and review entries for accuracy 
• Maintain fixed assets and inventory registers 
• Support statutory compliance and tax documentation 

Budget Monitoring & Financial Reporting

• Track expenditures against approved budgets 
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports 
• Maintain Budget vs Actual (BvA) tracking and variance analysis 
• Support financial planning and internal reporting 

Donor Financial Management 

• Prepare and submit financial reports using Stop TB GMS or equivalent  
• Ensure compliance with IHVN, USAID, and Global Fund requirements 
• Manage project funds in line with donor budget structures 
• Ensure zero-error submissions and no report rejections 

Compliance, Audit & Internal Controls

• Ensure full compliance with donor and CHCS policies 
• Prepare audit schedules and respond to audit queries 
• Ensure proper documentation and retirement of advances 
• Identify and escalate financial risks early 

5. Coordination & Oversight

• Work with program and M&E teams to align financials with field activities 
• Ensure financial data reflects actual program implementation 
• Provide finance guidance to operational teams 

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

• Zero rejection of donor/GMS financial reports 
• Accuracy of books and financial records 
• Timeliness of reporting (internal + donor) 
• Audit readiness and compliance 
• Budget variance control 

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 
• ACA / ACCA / CPA (Required) 
• Minimum 3–5 years accounting experience

MANDATORY EXPERIENCE (NON-NEGOTIABLE)

• Strong general accounting experience (full-cycle accounting) 
• Proven experience with donor-funded projects 
• Hands-on use of GMS or donor reporting platforms 
• Strong Excel skills (BvA, reconciliations, reporting templates)
