Job Summary:
The Rentals/Events Operation Manager is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the company's event and rental services. This role involves managing a team, coordinating logistics, ensuring high-quality customer service, and maximizing revenue opportunities through effective planning and execution of events and rentals. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in event management, operations, and customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
Event Planning and Coordination:
Oversee all aspects of event planning, including site selection, vendor management, budgeting, scheduling, and logistics.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs and ensure events meet their expectations.
- Develop detailed event plans, timelines, and checklists to ensure smooth execution.
Rental Operations:
- Manage the inventory of rental items, ensuring availability and condition of items.
- Coordinate delivery, setup, and teardown of rental equipment and supplies.
- Ensure all rental agreements and contracts are executed properly and in a timely manner.
Team Management:
Customer Service:
- Lead, train, and manage a team of event coordinators, rental staff, and support personnel.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review upcoming events and rentals, and assign responsibilities.
- Foster a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
- Conduct post-event evaluations with clients to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders.
- Prepare and manage budgets for events and rental operations.
- Monitor revenue and expenses, ensuring financial targets are met.
- Identify opportunities for cost savings and revenue growth.
Financial Management:
Compliance and Safety:
Ensure all events and rental operations comply with company policies, safety regulations, and legal requirements.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement safety measures as needed.
- Handle any emergencies or incidents during events with professionalism and efficiency.
Marketing and Sales Support:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to promote rental services and events.
- Assist in developing promotional materials, packages, and offers.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to sales efforts.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Event Management, Hospitality, Business Administration, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in event management, operations, or a similar role.
- Proven experience in managing a team and leading successful events.
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Proficiency in event management software and MS Office.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and risk management.
Working Conditions:
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
