A leading healthcare management consultancy company in Nigeria with subsidiaries in different states and headquartered in Lagos state, is recruiting competent and dynamic individuals for the post of a Radiographer.

Job Description

Reports to:  Operations Manager

• Competently operate diagnostic equipment at the center in order to capture high quality diagnostic images and provide accurate reporting on patients’ diagnosis
• Analyse and report the results of diagnostic procedures such as X-rays to medical doctors so as to provide information on the appropriate treatment regime for a patient.
• Attend to questions from doctors so as to provide guidance on clinical or surgical procedures to be conducted
• Skillful use of technological equipment such as ultrasound, X-ray and CT scan to diagnose patients for a disease.
• Interact with patients so as to offer them psychological support and reassurance.
• Explain details of radiographic procedures to patients as well as provide answers to their inquiries.
• Position patients for radiographic procedures so as to achieve accuracy in the results
• Ensure patients’ consent is sought prior to any radiographic imaging in line with regulatory requirements and that accurate radiation levels are in accordance with established standards.
• Ensure compliance with established safety regulations and procedures when operating radiation equipment in order to prevent ill-exposure to ionizing radiation.
• Record and store patients’ examination results and ensure compliance with the Data Protection Act, and Patient Confidentiality codes.

Requisite skills/Experience

• Attention to details
• Proficient in the use of computerized equipment such as CT scan and X-ray
• Excellent Team Spirit working with other health professionals such as oncologists and physicians to develop treatment plans for patients.

Educational Qualification

• B.Sc. in Radiography
• Experience in the use of high-tech modern equipment for conducting radiographic procedures will be an added advantage
