Project Manager at Global Youth Skills Acquisition & Poverty Eradication Organization (GYSAPEO)

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Project Manager to oversee the planning, implementation, and monitoring of our projects. The successful candidate will have a strong background in project management, excellent leadership and communication skills, and a passion for driving positive change. Additionally, the candidate should have experience in fundraising and grant writing to support the organization\'s projects.

Work arrangement: Hybrid

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop and implement project plans, goals, and objectives in line with the organization\'s strategic plan.
• Manage project budgets, resources, and timelines to ensure successful project delivery.
• Coordinate and lead project teams, including staff, volunteers, and partners.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including donors, partners, and community leaders.
• Monitor and evaluate project progress, identify challenges, and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and donor requirements.
• Prepare and submit project reports, proposals, and other documentation as required.
• Research and identify funding opportunities to support the organization\'s projects.
• Develop and write grant proposals, reports, and other fundraising materials.
• Build and maintain relationships with donors, including foundations, corporations, and individual donors.

Requirements:

• A Master\'s degree in Project Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in project management, preferably in an NGO setting.
• Proven track record of successfully managing projects, including budget management and team leadership.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software, such as MS Project, Asana, or Trello.
• Experience in fundraising and grant writing, with a proven track record of securing funding.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
• Strong commitment to the organization\'s mission and values.

Desirable Qualifications:

• Certification in project management, such as PMP or PRINCE2
• Experience working in a similar context, such as international development or humanitarian response
• Knowledge of donor requirements and regulations, such as USAID, EU, or UN
• Fluency in local languages, such as Hausa, Yoruba, or Igbo
• Integrity and accountability.
