    Lead Macroeconomic & Fiscal Policy Advisor

    Summary

    • The Lead Macroeconomic & Fiscal Policy Advisor will provide high-level strategic guidance to senior government stakeholders to support macroeconomic stability, fiscal resilience, and long-term economic sustainability. The role requires translating complex economic theory into practical policy recommendations and implementation frameworks that support national economic reform priorities.

    Key Responsibilities
    Macroeconomic & Fiscal Advisory

    • Design and evaluate macroeconomic, fiscal, and debt sustainability frameworks
    • Provide technical guidance on monetary policy, exchange rate management, and inflation stabilisation strategies
    • Advise on fiscal reforms, public finance optimisation, and economic resilience measures
    • Conduct economic forecasting and scenario modelling to support strategic decision-making

    Economic Analysis & Policy Support

    • Analyse economic indicators, fiscal trends, and market developments to inform policy recommendations
    • Develop policy briefs, analytical reports, and executive-level presentations for senior stakeholders
    • Support the design and review of economic reform initiatives and implementation plans
    • Translate complex economic analysis into clear and actionable insights for policymakers

    Stakeholder Engagement & Coordination

    • Engage with government institutions, regulators, development partners, and financial sector stakeholders
    • Support technical working groups and policy dialogue sessions
    • Contribute to the coordination of reform implementation across relevant institutions

    Capacity Building & Knowledge Transfer

    • Support institutional strengthening efforts through technical mentoring and advisory support
    • Facilitate workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions on macroeconomic and fiscal policy topics
    • Contribute to the development of analytical tools and frameworks for ongoing policy monitoring

    Educational Qualifications

    • Master s or PhD in Economics, Finance, Public Policy, or a related discipline

    Knowledge, Skills & Experience

    • Minimum of 10 years professional experience in macroeconomic policy, fiscal policy, economic advisory, or public finance management
    • Strong understanding of emerging market macroeconomics and economic reform processes
    • Demonstrated expertise in econometric modelling, forecasting, and economic analysis
    • Experience supporting government institutions, regulators, development partners, or international financial institutions
    • Strong analytical, presentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
    • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities
