Product Manager — Audio (Headphones, Earbuds, Speakers)

    Job Summary

Lead product strategy and commercial execution for audio accessories in Nigeria. You will identify consumer trends, prioritize SKUs, conduct local testing, and ensure rapid market feedback to improve product-market fit.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Market Trends & User Insights: Map local preferences (wired vs wireless, ANC demand, price sensitivity) and segment target consumers.
    • Portfolio & Roadmap: Define SKU mix across price bands, quality tiers, and use cases (music, calls, durability for outdoor/work).
    • Product Testing & Quality: Coordinate local QC trials, in-market usability tests, and partner lab checks to ensure suitability for local environments.
    • Launch & Activation: Collaborate with marketing and retail teams on launches — including demos, influencer sampling, retail displays, and promotions.
    • Field Feedback & Iterations: Gather retail feedback (returns, complaints, common faults) and drive firmware/hardware fixes or replacements with suppliers/HQ.
    • Commercial Enablement: Create product sell sheets, demo scripts, POS materials, and train field teams.
    • Pricing & Promotions: Recommend competitive pricing, bundles (phone + audio), and seasonal promo plans.
    • Data & Reporting: Maintain sales, return, and CSAT dashboards; present insights to stakeholders.

    Requirements

    • Degree in Marketing, Business, Audio Engineering, or related field.
    • 3–5 years in product/merchandising for audio, mobile accessories, or consumer electronics in Nigeria/West Africa.
    • Familiarity with product testing, QC, and audio performance metrics (battery life, latency, IP rating).
    • Strong understanding of retail/channel dynamics and experience with influencer/marketing activations.
    • Proficient in Excel and basic data analysis.
    • Fluent in English; Hausa or French beneficial.
    • Willingness to travel for store checks and user testing.
