    Price Intelligence Manager

    Position Overview

    • We are seeking a strategic and analytical Price Intelligence Manager to lead our pricing intelligence function and drive sustainable margin growth. This role is critical to ensure competitive positioning while maximizing profitability through data-driven pricing decisions and market intelligence.

    Key Responsibilities

    Pricing Strategy & Margin Management

    • Develop and implement comprehensive pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with profitability targets
    • Drive gross margin improvement initiatives by identifying pricing optimization opportunities across product portfolios
    • Monitor pricing, ensuring the business maintains optimal buy-right practices
    • Conduct regular margin analysis to identify erosion risks and recommend corrective actions
    • Lead pricing reviews for new product launches and existing SKU rationalization

    Competitive Intelligence & Market Analysis

    • Design and maintain a robust competitive intelligence framework to track competitor pricing, promotional activities, and market positioning
    • Monitor market trends, demand fluctuations, and regulatory changes that impact pricing strategies
    • Analyze competitor moves and provide actionable recommendations to maintain competitive advantage
    • Develop market share and price positioning reports
    • Build and maintain relationships with industry contacts and information sources

    Data Analytics & Reporting

    • Leverage advanced analytics tools to evaluate pricing performance, elasticity, and customer behavior patterns
    • Create and maintain pricing dashboards and KPI trackers for real-time decision support
    • Conduct scenario modeling and sensitivity analysis to assess the impact of pricing changes on revenue and profitability
    • Prepare comprehensive reports on pricing performance, margin trends, and competitive landscape for executive leadership
    • Develop predictive models to forecast the impact of pricing decisions on sales volume and market share

    Dynamic Pricing & Discount Management

    • Design and implement dynamic pricing models that respond to market conditions, inventory levels, and demand patterns
    • Establish discount structures and promotional pricing frameworks aligned with business objectives
    • Monitor and optimize trade terms, rebates, and volume-based pricing agreements
    • Evaluate promotional effectiveness and ROI, recommending improvements to maximize returns
    • Ensure pricing compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies

    Required Qualifications

    Education

    • Bachelor's degree in finance, Economics, Pharmacy, Business Administration, or related quantitative field
    • An advanced degree (MBA, MSc) is a plus

    Experience

    • Minimum 5 years of progressive experience in pricing, commercial analytics, or revenue management
    • Proven track record of driving margin improvement through pricing initiatives
    • Experience in the pharmaceutical, healthcare, or FMCG industry is highly advantageous
    • Demonstrated success in competitive intelligence and market analysis

    Technical Skills

    • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, advanced formulas, data modeling)
    • Experience with business intelligence tools (Power BI, Tableau, or similar)
    • Familiarity with pricing optimization software and ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, etc.)
    • Strong statistical analysis and data visualization capabilities

    Interpersonal & Leadership Skills

    • Excellent communication and presentation skills for engaging with senior stakeholders
    • Strong negotiation and influencing abilities across all organizational levels
    • Ability to work collaboratively in cross-functional team environments
    • Project management skills with the capacity to manage multiple priorities simultaneously
    • Results-oriented mindset with focus on execution and measurable outcomes
