PR & Communications Lead at SportyBet Nigeria

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute PR strategies including creating and implementing comprehensive PR strategies to increase brand visibility and reputation
• Craft engaging press releases, news articles, and other communication materials as well as identifying and leveraging opportunities for media coverage
• Responsible for Media Relations through building and maintaining strong relationships with local and international media outlets, journalists, and influencers
• Pitch story ideas and coordinate interviews to secure media coverage, both general and specialised
• Monitor media and social media coverage and prepare reports on media mentions
• Generate high-quality written and visual content for various platforms, including social media, blogs, and newsletters whilst ensuring all content is in line with brand messaging and values
• Relevant Event Management expertise to plan and execute PR events, product launches, and press conferences as well as coordinate logistics and media attendance
• Develop crisis communication plans & protocols, and manage & respond to PR crises promptly and effectively
• CSR Initiatives including developing and oversee CSR strategies and initiatives that align with the company’s values and goals
• Collaborate with local organisations and communities to implement CSR programs as well as measure and report on the impact of CSR activities

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations or any relevant field
• Strong knowledge of communication practices and techniques
• Outstanding English written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience of managing public relations, internal communications, event management, crisis management and creating targeted content
• High level of attention to detail
• Demonstrated success creating and implementing public relations and communication strategies
• Experience within the Betting, iGaming or Media industry is preferred
