    Studio Manager

    • The Studio Manager oversees all daily technical and operational activities within the television broadcast studios.
    • This role ensures seamless live and pre-recorded productions by managing studio personnel, maintaining technical infrastructure, and coordinating schedules between production teams and engineering.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Supervise all live broadcasts and recording sessions to ensure high production value.
    • Coordinate daily studio schedules, studio floor space, and technical resource allocations.
    • Enforce strict adherence to broadcast timelines, scripts, and running orders.
    • Troubleshoot operational bottlenecks and technical issues during active broadcasts.
    • Lead floor managers, camera operators, lighting technicians, and audio engineers.
    • Manage crew shift rosters, freelance talent bookings, and performance evaluations.
    • Train production staff on studio equipment, safety protocols, and new workflows.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams to ensure optimal performance of cameras, lighting, and sets.
    • Oversee the setup, striking, and maintenance of physical sets and props.
    • Manage the inventory of studio assets and log technical faults for immediate repair.
    • Maintain a safe working environment on the studio floor according to health and safety regulations.
    • Ensure all equipment rigging and electrical setups comply with station safety standards.

    Required Qualifications & Skills

    • Education: Degree in Mass Communication, Television Production, Engineering, or a related field.
    • Experience: Minimum of 8 years in television production, with at least 4 years in a supervisory role.
    • Expert knowledge of studio lighting rigs, broadcast cameras, and audio systems.
    • Deep understanding of control room dynamics, switchers, and digital video workflows.
    • Proficiency in broadcast scheduling software and digital asset management tools.
    • Exceptional leadership and conflict-resolution abilities under high-stress conditions.
    • Sharp decision-making skills during live, fast-paced broadcast emergencies.
    • Strong communication links between creative, technical, and executive teams.
