Duties and Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Physics lessons for students, catering to a range of abilities and learning styles, ensuring the curriculum aligns with IGCSE Physics specifications.
• Set and mark assignments, assessments, and exams, providing constructive feedback to support student progress.
• Monitor student progress, identifying areas for improvement and adapting teaching strategies to meet individual needs.
• Develop and implement curriculum plans, schemes of work, and departmental policies to ensure consistency and quality.
• Assess how well learning objectives have been achieved and use outcomes to adapt teaching accordingly.
• Provide quality marking and feedback and identify clear targets for future learning as appropriate.
• Carry out assessment cycles (e.g., collection of effort and attainment assessments, reports) as agreed by the school

Qualifications and Experience

• Qualified Teacher Status TRCN
• Bachelor's Degree in Physics / Science or a related field
• Experience teaching IGCSE Physics or in a British secondary school or similar educational setting
• Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum in a science specifications
• Excellent teaching, communication, and interpersonal skills
• Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and abilities
• Experience with extracurricular science programs and competitions is desirable.
