We are seeking motivated and passionate intern to join our People & Culture team. This role offers hands-on exposure to core HR functions, people operations, and organizational development, providing a strong foundation for a career in Human Resources.
As an Intern, you will support key People & Culture initiatives, contribute to employee-focused programs, and assist in developing insights that enhance employee experience and organizational effectiveness.
Key Responsibilities
Assisting with the recruitment process by posting job vacancies, screening resumes, scheduling interviews, conducting background checks, and facilitating the onboarding process for new hires.
Supporting employees with inquiries related to benefits such as health insurance, retirement plans, and other employee perks, as well as assisting in the enrollment process and managing benefits-related documentation.
Supporting the performance management process by scheduling performance reviews, tracking performance metrics, and assisting in the development of performance improvement plans.
Assisting in organizing training sessions, workshops, and other professional development opportunities for employees, as well as tracking training participation and evaluating training effectiveness.
Assisting in ensuring compliance with employment laws and regulations, as well as supporting efforts to maintain a safe and inclusive work environment, including handling documentation related to legal requirements.
Assisting in organizing employee engagement activities, events, and initiatives to foster a positive work culture and promote employee morale and satisfaction.
Assisting in the development, implementation, and communication of HR policies, procedures, and guidelines, and ensuring employees' understanding and compliance.
Requirements
Recent graduate or NYSC corps member (0–1 year of experience).
BSc or HND in Human Resources, Industrial Relations, Psychology, Sociology, Business Administration, or a related field.
Strong interest in Human Resources and People Operations.
Basic understanding of core HR functions such as recruitment, employee relations, learning & development, and performance management.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational and time-management abilities with attention to detail.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Docs, Sheets).
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism.
Willingness to learn, take initiative, and work in a fast-paced environment.

Nice-to-Haves
Prior internship or volunteer experience in HR or administration.
Familiarity with HR tools, HRIS, or recruitment platforms.
Basic knowledge of Nigerian labour laws and HR best practices.
Professional HR certifications or coursework (e.g., CIPM – in view).
