MEP Site Engineer at iRecruiters Africa Limited

Key Responsibilities

• Execute MEP projects according to specifications, drawings, and schedules;
• supervise on-site activities, including installation, testing, and commissioning of MEP systems;
• Ensure adherence to project plans, quality standards, and safety protocols;
• Collaborate with project managers, architects, subcontractors, and suppliers to coordinate project activities;
• Participate in project meetings to provide technical expertise, address issues and propose solutions;
• Conduct regular inspections to verify the quality of MEP installations and compliance with design standards;
• Identify and rectify defects or discrepancies in MEP systems to ensure optimal performance;
• Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily reports, inspection reports, and as-built drawings;
• Generate progress reports, status updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders;
• Provide technical support to construction teams and resolve technical issues during project execution;

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred.
• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in MEP design for commercial, industrial, or institutional buildings.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, and other MEP design software.
• Strong understanding of building codes, regulations, and standards.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
