The livelihood officer is tasked with ensuring that the livelihood component of the project is implemented by ensuring that beneficiaries are able to start-up businesses and sustain means of livelihood established as a result of the organization’s support. The livelihood officer is responsible for the daily technical planning, implementation, supervision, monitoring, and reporting of livelihood activities and for ensuring proper coordination with stakeholders. Responsibilities:
Plan for the implementation of Education and livelihood project activities and monitoring in line with project design.
Setting up alternative care arrangements by improving the livelihood capacity of vulnerable beneficiaries.
Collaborate with the Protection and Education officers to conduct well-being assessments for beneficiaries at different locations.
Train beneficiaries on the Family Business Scheme (FBS) and disburse grants.
Conduct regular and periodic monitoring of businesses supported through the FBS.
Support beneficiaries in setting up and maintaining businesses supported through the FBS.
Supervises the livelihood caseworkers towards project deliverables.
Write and submit weekly activity reports.
Any other responsibility as instructed by the line manager.
Job Requirements
B.Sc. in Business management or another related field
Ability to work within a team
Experience in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Team player, flexible, network-builder, able to handle pressure well.
