    Landscaper (Abuja / Lagos)

    About the Role

    We are seeking a skilled and passionate Landscaper to join our Facility Management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the aesthetic appeal, health, and functionality of outdoor landscapes across our clients\' facilities. This role requires practical landscaping experience, knowledge of horticulture, and the ability to operate landscaping equipment safely and efficiently.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Maintain lawns, gardens, flower beds, hedges, shrubs, and trees to the highest standards.
    • Mow, edge, trim, prune, and weed landscaped areas regularly.
    • Plant flowers, shrubs, trees, and other ornamental plants in accordance with landscape designs.
    • Water, fertilize, and apply appropriate treatments to maintain healthy vegetation.
    • Identify and treat plant diseases, pests, and nutrient deficiencies.
    • Operate and maintain landscaping tools and equipment, including lawn mowers, hedge trimmers, brush cutters, blowers, and irrigation systems.
    • Ensure outdoor spaces remain clean, attractive, and free from debris.
    • Install and maintain irrigation systems where required.
    • Report landscape maintenance needs, equipment faults, and safety concerns promptly.
    • Comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies while carrying out landscaping activities.
    • Support seasonal landscaping projects and other grounds maintenance activities as assigned.

    Requirements

    • Minimum of 3 years\' proven experience in landscaping, horticulture, grounds maintenance, or a related field.
    • OND, Trade Test Certificate, or vocational qualification in Horticulture, Agriculture, Landscaping, or a related discipline is an added advantage.
    • Good knowledge of plant care, lawn maintenance, irrigation systems, and landscaping techniques.
    • Ability to identify common plant diseases and recommend appropriate treatments.
    • Experience operating landscaping equipment and power tools safely.
    • Physically fit and able to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
    • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
